Tomorrow is Friday in the octave of Easter. Apparently the whole Octave of Easter is considered a solemn feast.
That is certainly the case with THE DIVINE OFFICE. So, 24 April - 1 May, we pray the TE DEUM during the Office Of Readings. Night Prayer has special antiphones in place of the usual Responsory. :byzsoc:

the entire octave is a solemnity,** no fasting while the bridegroom is present…**
Spraznikom!
In the Eastern Churches we are forbidden from fasting on feasts, and indeed we are fully in this festal octave. There is nothing pious in ignoring the glory of the risen Christ as profoundly celebrated during these days as you well say while the Bridegroom is present. 🙂 We abstain Wednesdays and Fridays all year except in these special weeks after long periods of fasting (recently 56 days of our abstaining from meat from the start until Pascha) 🙂
