Is anyone a member of medi share and what is their experience ?
What I have read is that you must be in good health, not use alcohol, smoke or any drugs. Do not do anything dangerous that causes injury such as skiing or sky diving to be covered. You also must be an active Christian and obey the tenants of your faith. If your Catholic you must be going to Mass every Sunday and following Catholic beliefs. It is not health insurance, but a non profit Christian ministry that may help with medical costs depending on the circumstances. Is anyone a member of medi share and what is their experience ?
So what if your kid was on the ski team it wouldn’t cover it if they needed knee surgeryWhat I have read is that you must be in good health, not use alcohol, smoke or any drugs. It is entirely at their discretion what they will pay for. Read the contract, I read it years ago when I thought about joining their group. So what if your kid was on the ski team it wouldn’t cover it if they needed knee surgery
I sounds pretty scary to potentially be turned down because one of my kids or I had a fall in a sport I guess they want us to live in a box only to get out for churchIt is entirely at their discretion what they will pay for. Medi-Share is a way for Christians who share common beliefs to help each other with their health care costs. If people don’t want to follow Medi-Share’s rules, they do not have to join. If a particular group feels left out, that group could create their own health sharing ministry.I hope this helps…Medi-share is indeed a unique program for providing assistance with medical care, but unlike health insurance programs this route uses blatant discrimination to prevent certain individuals from benefiting from its service. Mychristiancare.org specifically points out that only those engaging in sexual intercourse within a “Christian” marriage are allowed to join. This immediately eliminates gay, lesbian, and transgender individuals from enrolling in Medi-share. The program also places limits on services it covers based upon religious beliefs and states specifically that abortions will not be covered under any circumstance.
To be clear, Medi-share is not an insurance program. Medi-share operates as a non-profit group and while members pay into a group fund each month, the money is never Medi-share’s money. Furthermore, Medi-share is not required to pay any bill, nor keep cash reserves on hand.REF::newsonhealthcare.com/how-does-medishare-work/
