Meditate on Old Testament during Rosary?

Those who study the Rosary know, it is like St. Louis De Montfort said, meditations of the Rosary are like the Soul of the Rosary.

So, I’ve really got back to saying it by rote: and if I meditate on the Old Testament too, I make sure, I give equal treatment to the Mysteries as they are given to us.

But I would think it also effective to meditate on other scripture when reciting the Rosary, like the Old Testament or say something by St. Paul or possibly some other Catholic/Christian books.

It’s good if you can do that, but I believe that we should not forget that what we meditate on Old Testament should point to the New Testament – about Christ and His Mother.
