Meditation music. new age music?

Greetings everyone,

I wanted to know what the church teaches, in regards to meditation music. I’m a student and I like to have instrumental music on while I study my courses.

I had listened to Zen and classical, but I had started listening to some “charka” music,
which I had later found out is some pseudo body part that doesn’t exist, believed in by new age people.

Does the church mention anything about meditation music for say? I know a church brother had told me to stay away from Reiki music because that is devil music.  As it was giving me very weird and intense flash bulb memories at one time I had listened to it and I could not stand it.

There you will find a variety of opinions. My own opinion is that these kinds of music are not evil, tainted, or sinful.

If some music helps you to relax or to study, feel free to listen.

If you find some music disturbing (you mentioned Reiki music), why don’t you avoid it?
