"Imagine the larva of dragonflies beneath the surface of water. As the larva develops it floats to the surface and suddenly disappears from the sight of the other larva. One smart larva notices what is happening and makes a deal with another smart larva that the next one of them to leave come back and tell the others what is beyond the surface. In due time the inquisitive larva develops and floats to the surface where it recognizes that it has undergone a metamorphosis to become a beautiful dragonfly, but when it tries to return to tell the others it discovers that it cannot descend beneath the surface of the water to return.

Such is the phenomena of death in this life to a new life in the Hereafter."

Isn’t that a somewhat lookist analysis? The eye receives, and the mind conceives, but you do not even distinguish between the inability to find a hidden contradiction (hence non-existence of the allegedly possible scenario), and your ability to suspend disbelief long enough to give lip service to a fellow Catholic Answers Forum participant.

Thanks! I’m not sure of the source. It did not have a source when I read it, I think on Facebook or the Chabad Web site that I often visit.
