Thanks. Getting closer to being official I suspect. I had 3 aunts (now all have since passed) who were very enthusiastic about Medjugorje.

Blessings,
Stephie

If the approval is given, it will come from the Vatican, the CDF, not from some random blogger.

HI LL,
Did you read the article ?
Archbishop Henryk Hoser is Pope Francis’ envoy, not some random blogger…

Medjugorje has been getting along just fine without official recognition or approval from the Church.

I’m glad to hear this news, but I don’t want the Church involved in the ongoing apparitions. I hope it stays out of that part of it.

His official title is Retired Bishop of Bishop of Warszawa-Praga, Poland
http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/bishop/bhoser.html

Also, the Retired Bishop did not author this article, some random blogger is pulling quotes and trying to build a case. IF this apparition is ever approved the announcement will not come from an obscure blogger. It will be a headline on the Vatican News Service.

I agree that when the decision is made, it will come from the Vatican, or CDF.

Also, keep in mind that the Pope, in his public announcements, has been highly critical of the recent messages, but has had the first the visions of the first seven days investigated.
…as the initial report recommended. So, although this, so far, his personal opinion, his general reaction towards the occurences remains negative. So, please, don’t jump the gun on this. It is always better to wait for those in authority to act. In the past, even when said authorities have been wrong, it has all ended up helping the truth shine through, and proving the holiness of the seers, and their supporters.

The Pope does seem determined to see this through, to decide one way or the other. It will be best for us to wait.

I agree. I don’t follow any of this Medjugorje stuff but my understanding was they could visit the site but the apparitions (or at least the ongoing ones) are not approved.

Thank you LL for that link, it does clear up a few things, like:
Archbishop Henryk Hoser actually IS Pope Francis’ envoy to Medj, not some random nobody.
Pilgrimages of prayer are now permitted, officially.
The Vatican is still studying the events there and the final decision will come from the top (as we all knew)
As we all should know, the Church cannot be expected to give any final ruling on an event like this until AFTER it comes to a close.
In her wisdom, I do not expect the Church will err, or take any chance of erring, by proclaiming a premature decision and then having succeeding events at Medj conflict with such a decision, the Church would not do that and we should not expect her to.
So for now, we wait and pray.
Abhp Hoser gives a little hint, but that is all.
We must respect the status already given, which is neither official approval nor official condemnation, but rather "Non constat de supernaturalitate (not established as supernatural). Not a 'yes, not a ‘no’.
So we wait, we pray, we obey
