Virtually all Traditional Catholics reject it, and wrongly so.
They mistakingly believe Our Lady is endorsing everything that’s occurred in the Church following Vatican Council 2 that Traditionalists despise.

In fact, Our Blessed Mother’s appearances in Medjugorje will result in the defeat of Satan within the Church, and the full restoration of the True Mass - The Unchanged Traditional Latin Mass, along with all the abandoned Sacred Traditions of Our Beautiful Catholic Faith !!!

In the October 13, 1884 Vision of Pope Leo XIII, Satan was given 100 years to destroy Our Lord’s One True Church. Satan chose the 20th century to begin.
This monumental spiritual struggle is nearing it’s climactic conclusion.
Our Blessed Mother Marija of Medjugorje has stated that when the Secrets of Medjugorje have come to pass, Satan’s power in the Church and the world will be destroyed.

To fully understand Medjugorje, one must first understand Fatima.
Our Lady has stated that what She began at Fatima will be completed through Medjugorje.
And so it is through Medjugorje that Her Immaculate Heart will Triumph !!!

PEACE OF OUR CHRIST
Medj’s day are numbered. The crackdown has already begun. It’ll be banned eventually.

First Saturday Mass Intentions:

“O my Jesus, I offer this for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”

Jesus, Mother Mary, St Joseph-pray for us. +

ByzCath;5767018:
While I do not believe in Medjugore, Fatima also plays no role in my spiritual life.

While it has been ruled that Fatima is worthy of belief it is not binding upon Catholics. No Catholic must assent to Fatima, a faithful Catholic may chose not to believe in Fatima.

Nothing at Fatima added to public revelation. Fatima is a private revelation and does not require belief.

This is the biggest issue I have with some who believe in apparitions, they wish to add their favorite apparition to the Deposit of Faith which can not be done.
Tell that to Our Lady when you see her. 😦
No need to be sad. ByzCath makes a valid point. The Blessed Mother of course knows that private revelations don’t add to the deposit of faith and belief in/devotion to any apparition isn’t required for salvation.

That’s a fact in an of itself; doesn’t take away anything from Fatima. One unfortunate thing about Medjugorje IMO is that it has turned a lot of people off from *all *private revelations

The Church, who has authority on these things, also rejects Medjugorje. I would advise you to put less faith and preoccupation in personal interpretations of private revelations and more in what the Church actually teaches.

Tell that to the Blessed Mother.

Are you implying that the Holy Mother doesn’t understand the Church’s teaching that it isn’t necessary for an individual to acknowledge private devotions?
Do you think she came to Fatima so that people will choose to ignore her? That would be odd. Do you think her desperate plea for the world to pray the Rosary was something she felt to be optional? Because she didn’t present it that way; as being optional. She didn’t say, “If it’s good with you, please pray the Rosary”. No.

God bless you. I think your devotion is beautiful. 🙂 The message of Fatima is important, to the world, to me and my family, to the Church and obviously to you too. But if you are denying that devotion to any and ALL private revelations is optional and not required for salvation, the you’re contradicting the teaching of the Church on this matter.

Also, the Fatima message wasn’t about Mary. She was the messenger… she always points to her Son. It’s not like she’s going to be hurt that we weren’t paying attention to her. There really isn’t anything new in what Mary says… she just reminds us of what we should have been doing all along. Because sometimes we need that.

As long as we’re following her Son, I think she’s happy. 🙂 She’s not going to get her feelings hurt over a teaching of the Church.

And Fatima is unimportant?
Fatima is a private revelation and adds nothing to the Deposit of Faith, so in that way yes, it adds nothing important as it can not add anything.

I have not studied Fatima, it has nothing to do with my spiritual life.

It is not required for salvation.

How many ways must this be said for you to accept it?

I stand with what the Church Teaches, which is something that Our Lady wants. 😃
True, true, Our Lady obeys the Pope because she knows that Christ gave him his authority! And, we know by Tradition that Divine Revelation is closed, so we cannot force any personal revelation (e.g., Fatima, Lourdes, etc.) upon Catholics because it is not necessary for your personal salvation to believe in these apparitions. A good priest friend of mine once said:

“If Mother Mary appeared in my office and preached false things, I would tell her to leave.”
…because it wouldn’t be Mary! Mary cannot preach false things, and she obeys the authority of the Pope.

“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel to you other than that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema!” -Galatians 1:9

I personally do believe in Fatima and Lourdes, but I am suspicious of Medjugorje… even if I did believe in it, I would not follow it to closely in case I became too involved and then stated believing and following seers before the Church… that’s how occasions such as the Army of Mary come about. I wouldn’t worry too much about making a pilgrimage their myself because I can make a pilgrimage to my Lord at Mass and Adoration every day. And, if I did plan on going on such a pilgrimage to Medj., I would keep in mind that Mary recognizes infallibility. So, I could believe it all that I wanted to up until the Church would disprove the apparition, then I would obey the Church and let any false message “be anathema”.

At Fatima, the Blessed Mother requested that we pray the Rosary daily for peace in our world and the conversion of sinners. At Fatima, the Blessed Mother chose to call herself “The Lady of the Rosary”.

After the Mass and the Divine Office, the Rosary is the most treasured prayer of the Church. Anyone can pray it anywhere; this is it’s great value. It keeps our hearts focused on the paschal mysteries and there is such power in that. And the spiritual benefits of doing so are great. If you don’t know the power of the Rosary, it’s because you don’t pray it, which is a shame. Shame on you.

You may say, “Well, I don’t have to pay attention to the message of Fatima because the Church says I don’t”. Well, yes that may be true, but to me it sounds like an adolescent who says, “I don’t have to do such and such for my mother because my father will never kick me out of the house if I don’t”. This is an absurd stance to take, especially when what your mother asks is for your own spiritual benefit. You also don’t have to go to Communion and Confession more than once a year. Do you think this is to your optimum spiritual benefit?!?! No, it isn’t. Just because Holy Mother Church is gracious and patient with the weakest of her children doesn’t mean it’s good for all of us to take these options.

Name me one contemporary saint who didn’t think the Rosary was important? St. Padre Pio called the Rosary his weapon. St. Teresa of Calcutta and St. Padre Pio both prayed the Rosary throughout the day. Someone came to St. Pio once and told him, “Father, I’ve prayed the Rosary five times so far today”. St. Pio said, “That’s good. I’ve prayed the Rosary 35 times today. Keep praying”. All the modern saints have been great advocates of Our Lady’s Rosary. you want to be a saint? You should pray he Rosary, too.

Pray the Rosary, you bone heads, you numskulls. 😉 Here’s a good site.

The message of Fatima is required for salvation. It was a private apparition to the three children but the they were asked to convey that message to the world so the message from Our Lady was, in fact, for the world.

In my humblest opinion, if you have not studied Fatima, maybe you should. That way you will be better informed on the subject:

No, the message of Fatima is not required for salvation. And devotion to the Rosary didn’t begin or end with Fatima either. My family has been extremely devoted to both my whole life. Personally I loved the Rosary before I knew about Fatima.

You can be a devoted student of Fatima and still understand that accepting that apparition is not required for Salvation.

Eastern Catholics are not going to have the exact same piety that Latins do, it’s wrong to assume they should and bully them about it.

Poor wording on my part and I apologise.

How devoted and for how long sound like a private matter also. We’re discussing Fatima and Mejugori here.

Let me reword it: *In my humble opinion *I think it word be good to follow Our Lady’s advice for salvation.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

I was simply giving interesting sources of information for the poster. Not “bullying”.
Maybe you should get off your pious horse and stop bullying me.

Even if you didn’t believe in Fatima, you should still pray the Rosary, the Rosary is very old and has taken many forms there is the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Byzantine Rosary, the Chaplet of the Immaculate Conception, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, etc. (*Chaplet is French for Rosary).

"Pray the Rosary, you bone heads, you numskulls. ;)" lol.
