It seems the most subtle form of Anti-Semitism. Mock the religion and lifestyle so much that the faith tradition looses validity.

Yes I’m certain that hollywood made this movie just to undermind your values. It seems to me that people like you are the ones that are very interested in controlling what people see and think.

I loved the first movie, but I am reluctant to see this one because it looks like it is overwhelmed by starpower, it seems to be too “redonkulous” even for Ben Stiller, and I have never understood the appeal of Barbara Streisand in any capacity, be it singing, acting, or directing (admit it–in the third hour of Yentl didn’t you wish the Germans would invade just to see some action?).

Was there actually mockery of Jewish practice, or was it merely your typical Woody-Allenesque portrayal of New York Jews?

I just have a problem with the name Fockers. My children said it the other day and it sounded like they were saying…

Well, you can guess what I THOUGHT I heard.

Yes as if this name were merely coincidence. The Hollywood elite must think we are all knuckle dragging idiots that don’t ‘get it.’ Is the movie full of jokes about bathroom activities and belching? The whole thing is unbelievably juvenile.

FWIW I wouldn’t see ANY movie featuring Barbra. It’s the least I can do to combat her inane statements on foreign policy.

More liberal Hollywood garbage that plays into the sublime. May see it on video but wont give the liberal elitist my money. Hollywood is controled by the worst form of secularist and Jews (not anti-semitic, just stating a fact here all) who hate Christianity and more than that, any form of religion except maybe Judiasm and or Scientology and Buddah. Christ, well he is not hip enough for them. Sick people

Are you a bigot? If I didn’t know better I would have thought you were uttering slurs against the Catholic Church.

I could probably rattle off 10 names of “actors” and “actresses” (I use the terms loosely) whose casting in a movie or TV show cause me to forsake such entertainment. MIZZZZZZ Streisand is up there near #1.

Oh I totally agree. My list of “no-see-ums” is long and distinguished.
It’s gotten to the point that I can barely find any movies that don’t have a cast comprised of this group. Oh well better things to do with $10.

I’m under the assumtion that Ole Babes is the Antichrist (jk) she think she knows it all and is willing to tell all of us how we should run our lives and conduct ourselves politically to put it bluntly she’s a evil witch:D

I remember when she threatened to move to England if the original Bush got elected over Clinton. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to call her bluff. I haven’t heard her big mouth in a long time however. I wonder if she’s learned to zip it.

I love Barbra Streisand’s voice and many of her movies. I didn’t see Yentl, but I loved Funny Girl, The Way We Were and A Star is Born. I haven’t seen Meet the Fockers, but my Republican, Catholic father did and he said it was very funny.

I am not a huge Streisand fan since I don’t own any of her records, but to call her the anti-Christ is a sick statement.

The first movie?
You mean there is ANOTHER movie like this one?

Lisa,
What IS your list? Maybe you should post it so we all know WHO not to see on the silver screen.

Barbara Steisand and Sean Penn head my own list of not-to-see movie stars, with Alec Baldwin and Tim Robbins not far behind.

I’ll never understood why movie stars want to personally alienate more than half of the movie going public.

Are they as really so dumb as Alfred Hitchcock thought they were were he called them cattle?

Are you currently under the influence of a drug?

…Sean Penn rawks!..Alec Baldwin is responsible for some of the funniest moments in SNL history, and Robbins?? Can I say Shawshank…?

Folk, I am deeply ashamed to say I saw this movie. I enjoyed the first one. Actually loved it.

Hated the second and thought it offensive.

I agree… It seems my list is getting bigger too. I have never cared for Barbara Striesand… The mention of her name makes my eye twitch…

I won’t see this movie because of her. Plus it would be hard to see with my eye twitching the whole time.

That is good to know. I loved the first one too. But, I can’t move myself to see the second one, even for free…

Wow these four are also on my list. Allow me to add:
  • Susan Sarandon (Tim “Chill Wind” Robbins’ “life partner” or whatever he is)
  • Patrick Swayze
  • Bruce Willis (ever since that idiotic scene in Die Hard when he walked in glass)
  • Demi “Demimonde” Moore
  • Richard Gere (so greasy he sweats olive oil)
  • Julia Roberts
  • Eric Roberts
  • George Clooney (whose idea of acting is to droop his head while talking)
  • Leonardo De-crappio
There are some others I’m forgetting, but you get the drift. I may start to give Bruce Willis a break since he’s a quasi-Republican.

As you may surmise I rarely go to the movies. The last two movies I saw in the theater were the last two Lord of the Rings movies, I think.
