I think Breitbart had a real good analysis on this incident:

breitbart.com/InstaBlog/2013/05/22/Even-Gosnell-s-Attorney-is-to-the-Right-of-President-Obama-on-Need-for-More-Abortion-Regulations
The man who defended Kermit Gosnell in court believes the takeaway from the trial is that more abortion restrictions are needed. This places him solidly to the right of President Obama who ignored the trial and instead vowed to fight regulation in an appearance before Planned Parenthood.
Kermit Gosnell’s attorney, Jack McMahon, appeared on Megyn Kelly’s show today. At the end of a contentious segment McMahon revealed that he believes laws regulating abortion should be tightened, making 16-17 weeks the cut off for legal abortions. “I think pro-choice would still have the right to chose, but they’ve got to choose quicker” he told Kelly.

America Live’s Megyn Kelly was fired up like we’ve never seen her before in an interview with Gosnell attorney, Jack McMahon.

I have LOVED Megyn from day one. She is a bulldog in an interview. No one can weasel away. She may be a beautiful blond, but don’t let that sweet face fool you. She is a genius at the quick analysis and comeback. Anyone who thinks they can get the better of her is sadly mistaken.

Interesting at the end, the attorney who vigorously defended Gosnell said that 24 weeks was way too late and it should be moved back to l6 or 17 weeks! Even this guy realized that these were babies, not fetuses or blobs. Now if we could just move it back further…say to before conception?

Completely agree!

Oh yes, she’s a beautiful blonde who can debate well, thanks for bringing up that important point.👍

Wow…works cannot express my anger and disgust towards Gosnell and his attorney. That attorney gives the legal field a bad name and I am disgusted by his comments even comments against the justice served in the case.

Don’t see how this is any surprise. When you have a society like ours who permits daily murders then these things will only get worse. Sure there is a lot more of these gruesome acts going on throuhhout

We all need to contact our legislators and demand that we end abortion in America now. Vow to only vote proven pro-lifers next election no matter what candy and freebies pro-deathers offer you.

That is the dilemma, however, even when I look at it, African Americans tended to vote for Obama and if I may say so, probably because he is of mixed heritage, Unions tend to vote Democrat, politics is not easy but the tide has turned in favor of the Pro-life movement on the bright side. So, supporting Pro-Life Politicians is important.

State Level, there are countless success stories, maybe what Gosnell did could not have happened in a lot or some states. I think that might be so. This is why there are some late term abortion clinics in some select states but maybe they can’t set up in others.

And the way Roe v. Wade is written, without being a legal expert, it seems the struggle is largely in the States vs. Federal. Of course, Federally, Planned Parenthood needs to be defunded, it has been defunded in 6 states at the state level, Texas, Wisconsin, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Paul Ryan said in his debate with Biden that Ryan believes life begins at conception so I totally agree, we need to support proven pro-lifers. Besides, party platforms show the Democrats are heavily for abortion, the Republicans are more pro-life. That’s a proven track record too.

This is probably the best moral (as opposed to technical) defense Gosnell could ever mount. It’s 100% correct to assert that the law as it stands today is absurd by declaring a baby inanimate chattel property the moment before birth and a human person a moment afterwards. Is it any wonder that a man who so fully immersed himself in the rationales (rationalizations, really) for abortion would come to see newly born babies as just as worthless and undeserving of respect? He lived a life of cognitive dissonance for decades. You can’t help but internalize the principles you live by. Gosnell was simply behaving in conformance with his principles. You can’t deal with both infants and late term fetuses for long without realizing they are exactly the same.

Gosnell is the way he is because he allowed the law of the land to shape his conscience instead of Natural Law. Don’t think for a moment that there aren’t a LOT more abortionists out there just like him.

👍 wonderful and so true. I don’t recall where I read this or saw it, but an abortionist was claiming that live births were very rare because they killed the child in the womb with Digoxin! As if somehow it’s different to murder a baby inside his mother rather than outside. Apparently this was the solution to the loss of PBA methods where the child was hacked apart…rather like that poor British soldier. May we be so hopeful that this case and others like it will raise the consciousness of America? Even someone who thinks they are "pro choice"is not thinking about the unborn baby as being fully formed, organs in place, her own blood supply, his own unique DNA, able to move and kick and suck her thumb. If the woman could see inside would she allow the abortionist to stab her baby with a syringe full of poison? I hope not.

I know exactly where you’re coming from my friend…And his name is Leroy Carhart, and he practices right here in my not-so lovely State of Md. :o 😦

They need to cast of this baggage and only vote for proven pro-lifers. If they don’t it will continue and America will further decline.
