An animal is someone, not something. I encourage everyone to peruse this great website regarding farm animals: farmsanctuary.org/
This is an intentional obfuscation.

In English the term someone refers to a person.

some·one (s m w n , -w n). pron. An unspecified or unknown person. n. A person of importance: He really thinks he’s someone.

When referring to an animal the most common term used is “it”.

An animal is someone, not something
Definition from Websters
Someone-somebody
somebody-one or some person of unspecified or indefinite identity
person-1: human

An animal is not a someone but indeed a something.

Now now I think that we can all agree that this magic wonderful animal (the pig) has enough variety that all may enjoy the bounty of it’s tender meats.👍

Must we limit this discussion to pork only

we don’t eat dogs because they protected us, gave us warmth and companionship, and helped us hunt pigs.

We eat pigs because they are tasty.

Cro-magnon man was a taller more robust specimen than later homo-sapiens because he existed entirely on hunted meat and foraged berries.

Homo sapiens shrank and developed all kinds of debilitating diseases when they started to farm grain.

This is what happens when you become a vegan:
