It can be very dangerous too as many protestant denominations are looking to “save” us poor Catholics and bringing us away from that “evil” Catholic Church.

This happens so much. A good friend of mine did what the OP did by attending mass and evangelical services. She was so on fire, but was convinced since were all Christian that it was okay to go to Christian services. Now all she does is go to evangelical services. Fortunately she isn’t anti catholic, but has fallen into the trap of how everyone should follow Jesus no matter the religion. I think this is how the evangelicals got to her.

I do not do that. I started this thread in regards to a friend of mine who does do that.

Someone inquired about her kids. Yes, she says that she does this largely for her kids, though she’s always raving to me about what a wonderful sermon she heard there on any given Sunday. She remembers how bored she was as a child at mass, so believes that her kids (three of them, ages 14 and younger) benefit much more by attending this nondenominational congregation.

thank you for pointing that out. drives me nuts when someone says mass when talking about another church service.

and people will prolly throw rocks at me for saying this, but you can’t have it both ways. can’t be Protestant AND Catholic. Just like you can’t be a Mason & Catholic. Don’t get me started on Native American traditions and prayers within Mass.
