I went to the 8 AM mass this morning. Even though a mere RCIA Candidate, I wanted to start Lent properly.
One interesting part of the mass was that communion came first. Then the ashes. The idea was for people to get the ashes and then leave. I guess the hope was that the massive congestion we usually see in the parking lot when mass is finished would be reduced. Especially since the 8 AM mass had 2-3 times more people then usual. Didn’t work, but drivers were more polite then usual.
I wonder how long the smudgy cross wiill last under the stress and strain of a normal day’s work? AA at noon, leave for work at 2 PM, but right now have to do laundry and clean litter boxes
