As we put forward our debates, and endless squabbling… Let us pause and remember these men, and thousands of others, who now stand in unity before the throne of the Lamb that was slain before the foundations of the earth… regardless of which church they went to during their earthly lives.

As we all take a break from our hectic lives and relax this long weekend, may we remember those men you highlighted and all of the others that gave their lives for the cause of freedom so that we all might live in peace, harmony and in the love of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. May God grant them a most holy place in heaven!

Matt, nice to see you, brother. Haven’t seen you around lately, dude! Drop me an IM or something here…

I have to say, love this thread. I think especially what’s moving and special about it is how you posted their religion. In CAF we get caught up in our differences, debate, analyzing denominations to death, and sometimes losing sight of our brotherhood in Christ Jesus. These men are all heroes, all loved by Christ, and all lovers of Christ themselves. What extraordinary guys, all of them. Thanks for sharing them as well as their religion to show us how we need to realize our brotherhood a lot more than what divides us. Great job!

I have no rank or military service to attach at the end of my post, just a huge thank-you to all these fallen heroes. My dad was a Vietnam Vet, my grandpas both WWII vets. I know Father Mark is a vet, you are, and so many other in here. I salute and respect you all. I think military people are special, and definitely several notches above a guy like me who never served. God bless all vets!

Amen, and outstanding thread. Makes me wish I was a real soldier and not a phony forum one. These guys are real men and real Christians. Praise the Lord for sending us warriors to protect us who are better than sideline-sitters (like me) deserve.
 
Something I have posted in other threads here and at other locations, but it bears repeting:

Please remember in your prayers those who are stepping forward to serve with ROTC programs and at the service academies, as well as all those in other training pipelines. They have volunteered to give up a great deal of their time to become the people we need them to be as leaders.

Also, consider this:

Right now, there are Muslims fighting against Muslims in defense of our right to choose our religious beliefs. They fight alongside Jews and Christians against their brothers so that we can have freedom. God bless all our service men and women who safeguard our freedoms.
