MEN What do you find Immodest

I am a young man, and believe me, when I see a woman like that, the image of her stays in my mind for hours, then I have on occasion fallen into an impure action: solitary sin.
Yes, I definately have a physical reaction to girls who look like that and I’m not young. It totally turns me on. :o

Hmmm…most of what everyone else has said, plus…a lot of jewelry, heavy make-up (I find polish to be immodest and revolting), piercings of any type, especially in the navel or the tongue.

Piercings in the tongue are not appealing to me at all. But the naval is very distracting. I saw quite a few at the fair the other day. Argh! It makes me think bad thoughts!

None of these are new. You can see all of these put to use in those movies of the 1920’s and on forward. There’s nothing new here.
In olden days a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking. Now, heaven knows, anything goes!

Really, I don’t need to see your boobs hanging out. Or your panties creeping up.

I don’t necessarily consider it immodest at all, but nyloned legs will attract a LOT more attention and get thoughts running much faster than bare legs or pants with socks. There’s just something to the glimmer.

From reading another thread I thought it would be a good thing to ask what men find distracting (immodest) in womens dress. No rules just what you think.
Skin showing from the just above the knee to just below the neck. Very tight clothing around hips and…ah…chest.

I dress modestly every day- pretty much always have. Long skirts, nothing too low or too tight. Once because of a job I had to wear pants and I noticed I got less looks from guys. I think modesty can be distracting too. It doesn’t sieze a guys attention like the details described, but it’s also different.

In public, I want to be impressed by a woman, not aroused by her. It does not take much visually to arouse me and I am sure this is true of most men (emotionally mature - heterosexual - men), and it is very difficult to turn this emotional reaction off.

Sexually immature language (any profanity, off colour remarks and references, crudeness and rudeness), dress (too revealing high and low), and attitude (flirting, teasing, overly affectionate as examples) all are most often very inappropriate in public by anyone but especially a woman. I stress this because of the pronounced affect their behaviour has on males of which most often these women are fully aware. I believe that such behavior by men directed to women is no less inappropriate, though.

If I notice, it’s probably too immodest. That’s just my standard which I feel is pretty forgiving.

Then again, what’s noticeable on one girl probably isn’t noticeable on another, but even then, just a lot of skin in general is not good. Plunging neck lines are the devil. Same with uber-tight jeans and short shorts.

Thank you for your answers. This will be a good teaching tool to give to girls and young women.

Yup I too get aroused fast. Then the worse thing, is if I do NOT masturbate, I get severe pain in my groin area. The arousal can come without me wanting but, then I get pain later because I did not act upon the arrousal.:o

Self Control is a wonderful thing.
I love to hear how guys will many times justify mastrubation by saying if I dont mastrubate than I am in such “pain”…there is no justification for it…

I would say–low cut tops showing a lot of cleaveage, tight jeans with thongs sticking out the top, also any type of tight clothing.

BTW–for those guys who feel they “must” masturbate, when I feel myself being tempted by a visual I pray an Our father, Hail Mary & a Glory be. It works wonders & it’s been about a year since I gave in to that temptation & sin.

This is a great thread! Sometimes women assume that to not arouse men that they must be unattractive and therefore you see Christian women dressing dumpy. But most of the things that guys have written about are pretty easy to avoid and most women find these styles repulsive also.

This might be the strangest response here, but its truthful for me. I find no article of clothing to be Immodest in itself. What I do find Immodest is a persons actions. For instance a woman can be wearing the low cut pants showing of her blue thong underwear in a tank top designed for a women half her age and size, but as long as you engage me in an adult conversation and act normal I have no problem with you and think nothing of your outfit. However if you are dressed in a long flowing sun dress with everything covered including up to your neck and you start twirling you hair and try to get a little to close even after I scratch my nose. (A good way to show the ring finger and politely say go away:p ). I think that person even with all of her clothing is an immodest harlot.

From a recent experience…

A girl who has one of those cute tatoos on her lower back, and her shirt pulls up to show it when she bends over.

So, shirts that fit tight and don’t “stay put” and girls that show off their tatoos like that…immodest!

😉 you don’t want to create a thin line between Islam and Christianity???

Can’t there be a middle ground between dressing in a way that is disrespectful to yourself as a woman and wearing a burqua?

The reason that I like this thread is that a lot of Christian women think they need to wear the ugliest, largest fashion possible inorder to be modest.

The men on this forum seem to not be advocating that. Just common sense.
