I am suffering immensely from mental pain at the moment. Going through such a bad bad bad patch. I realllllllyyyyyy neeed prayer :(:bighanky:

I entrust you to the care of the Blessed Virgin Mary. May she make her intentions in this matter come true. I pray that you turn to her and to your Rosary for the healing, strength, courage, comfort, and for the other graces you need to persevere in a state of grace.

Hail Mary…

Amen.

I am praying for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary for your needs.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.

Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

I will offer prayers for you. And, maybe offer some insight…

God allows us to suffer in order to bring about a greater good. We may not know, this side of heaven, what that greater good is, but we will once we get there.

There was once a young man who was sent from the seminary to learn gold-smithing. He was sent to apprentice for a short time with an old gold smith. The man would take gold ore, put it in the heat as high as he could, and the gold would melt out. Then, he would purify the gold by putting it into a crucible and cranking the heat up as high as it would go. The impurities in the molten gold would float to the top (this is called slag) and be skimmed off and discarded. The young man then asked the old gold smith how long this process lasted, i.e., how did he know when the gold was finally purified? The old man looked at him and said that when he could look into the molten gold and clearly see his own reflection, then the gold was completely purified.

God does the same with us, in order to purify us and make us ready for heaven! He either allows us to suffer or sends suffering to us to allow us to become purified to the point where He can look at us and clearly see His own reflection in us. When He can, then He knows we are purified and ready. We should thank God for the gift of suffering. And we should use it properly by uniting our suffering to His. Otherwise, it’s wasted.

Mental and emotional pain can be harder to bear than physical pain because it’s harder to distract yourself.

Usually, after three decades of the Rosary, my heartbeat settles down and a lot of fear, tension and anxiety goes away. It takes a bit of practice, though.

🙂

Jesus please be with Stephen in his dark hour.
You asked John and Peter to accompany You in prayer during Your dark hour in the Garden, and John and You Mother stood by Your Cross to give You loving support.
Please now give Stephen the loving support that he needs.

*A PRAYER
FOR PEACE OF MIND
(By Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini)

FORTIFY me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit
and give Your peace to my soul
that I may be free from all needless anxiety,
solicitude and worry.
Help me to desire always
that which is pleasing and acceptable to You
so that Your will may be my will.
