Hello all,

I have recently stopped taking Celexa (drug used to help with my anxiety/panic attacks) that I have been taking for the past 7 years. I knew I would have withdrawl symptoms but hadn’t imagined anything like this!

My anxiety has come back and hit me like a brick wall. It feels like it will never get better and making me feel very hopeless. In addition I feel light-headed and “drugged”. I have been praying to St. Dymphna for relief. I hate for my children to see me this way…
Please, pray for me!

thank you
-Linda

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

God bless you and sustain you.

From someone that suffers from the same issue, I feel for you.

But there is hope 🙂 , take a daily journal and start writing gratitude prayers, statements etc., to the Lord. Tell the Lord your Loving Father…“Thankyou for everything that happens to me, because it is for a greater good than what I can even imagine.” I
I have been doing this for days now and my anxieties have started to wind down. I write all the great things, that I wish for myself and my life ( most are spiritual of course). Go walking long or jogging, exercise helps a lot. Go with company, so that you feel safer and tell yourself often “I am safe, because the Lord my God, Who is the Creator of all loves me and holds me close to His Loving Heart”
I will pray for you…(talk to your doctor about the withdrawals).

Linda,
My prayers are with you. As an RN, please tell me that you spoke with your doctor before stopping the medication. Most medications for anxiety must be taken away gradually. If you haven’t contacted your doctor, please do that right away.
God Bless,
Pam

linda,
i will pray for you, but here is a prayer to help you get through this difficult time: O, holy Angels, grant that I may be filled with the presence of God on the Altar, as you are penetrated by it in heaven. This prayer was passed on to me and helped me through some difficult times. Have faith.;:blessyou:

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Christ is filled with grace and the Holy Spirit. Let us proclaim his greatness and trustfully ask him:
  • Lord, give us your Spirit.
Make our day happy, without disturbance, without sin,
so that when we reach evening we can praise you joyfully with pure hearts.
May your radiance shine on us through the day:
guide the work of our hands.
Watch over us: let us do good in peace
and do what is right, with the strength you give us.
Look kindly on all who have asked for our prayers
and fill them with good things, both in body and in soul.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Lord, be with us in all we plan and help us in all we do,
so that our every action begins from you
and is completed through you.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

Remember Oh most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee Oh Virgin of virgins my mother . To thee do I come befor thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the word incarnate despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Please Mother I pray for this woman and her suffering. Help her to find new medicine that will help her panic and anxiety. It is such a hard cross to bear Mother, with these attacks. Not being able to trust your mind. Our sister has come to us in prayer seeking our help. It is so very hard to endure this by yourself and pray alone. Please dear Mother help her in her hour of need, that will last her whole life.Mental disorders disrupt all aspects of a persons life, intercede for her that she might have peace.

Hi - exactly the same thing happened to me, and I really feel for you.

I came here for prayer the time it happened, and fortunately I have been calmed by the Lord.

I have restarted a lower dose of the medication. You mustn’t view it as defeat if you need to do this.

Let me know if you want anything.

Praying for you.

Thank you.

Thank you, each and every one of you.

I’ve had to go back on the medicine, the withdrawl symptoms are just too great…

I will try a slower tappering approach and I pray that I may get through this a whole person.

thank you again for all your prayers!
