Not always better to try to hunt down every venial sin…

It is not sinful in itself to omit venial sins.

OK, now this might annoy you but I always like to double or triple check when it comes to matters of morality.

So since every omission for the reason of embarrassment is also omission, and since omitting venial sins is allowable, then omitting venial sins due to embarrassment is allowable?

Yes.

(one can by the way confess venial sins in a rather general way too…though it can be helpful to be more specific -for example for advice… etc)
