That’s a crazy number of EMHCsYes, for all masses in my parish. We have 4 EMHC who serve the cup during daily noon Mass, 2 at the 7:30 am daily Mass and 9 at all Sunday Masses and the Saturday Vigil.

Whatever works, pn.I always thought of it as a “cooler sign.” It sounds close to “fuller” and reminds me there is nothing more substantial to both forms as opposed to one form.
GIRM 2010, shows, just as in the previous GIRM, that both kinds reception is permitted on occasion, which is to say, not all the time.14. Prompted by the same intention and pastoral zeal, the Second Vatican Council was able to give renewed consideration to what was established by Trent on Communion under both kinds. And indeed, since nowadays the doctrinal principles on the complete efficacy of Eucharistic Communion received under the species of bread alone are not in any way called into question, the Council gave permission for the reception on occasion of Communion under both kinds, because this clearer form of the sacramental sign offers a particular opportunity for understanding more deeply the mystery in which the faithful participate.[21]Our new parish pastor decided we will be receiving, during communion, just the communion host and not provide the Cup. Is with holding the chalice/cup breaking not only Tradition of the Mass but making communion incomplete.? The priest prepares and elevates both the host and wine to be consecrated and blessed. We respond by saying ‘when we eat this bread and drink of this cup we profess…’ Perhaps it’s not incomplete because Christ remains in both species.
Yeah, I hear the Texas Diocese sent out guidelines…our parish is considering whether or not to adopt their extreme recommendations. He’s wondering about the aspect of panic. Most of the time, yes. They stopped yesterday because of the Ebola threat and flu season. I’m thankful that they are proactive about the spread of illness and disease.
I think the Dude would sayWhatever works, pn.
Would you then also say “Heaven and earth are cool with your glory”?
“Pleni sunt coeli et terra gloria tua.”
