OK, people, 'fess up! Who’s going to Confession this Saturday, just in case? 😃

I’m not going, but I have been recently. Hey, if people use this as a reason to get back to the Church and confession, good for them!
 
I wish I could - I tend to go to Confession weekly - but I’ll be at an appointment in Indy and are not certain of Catholic Churches near my meeting place and confession times near my meeting time.
 
I could see some priests refusing to hear Confessions just for this purpose.

That said, I’m going to confession today, but not because of this May 21, 2011 Rapture idiocy.
 
I’ll admit I’m a little nervous but I’m not going for this reason. I am probably not going at all this week though I would like to.

I am going on Saturday because I need to go (I really needed to go for a week).

P.S. If the Rapture does happen, then all the confession in the world will not help because if there is a Rapture then everything the Church has taught is wrong and my dear friends we have been members of the Anti-Christ-producing-man-made-tradition-preaching-statue-idolizing-Mary-worshipping-whore-of-Babylon-church.

Perhaps I can get an altar call in as well, just to be safe? :hmmm:
 
we have first confessions so I usually go in last so Father knows he can take a break, he knows I will be quick. Otherwise, I would probably not cram for the final exam, just go in cold.

Honestly, I didn’t realize it was supposed to be “The Rapture” and the world wouldn’t actually end until October until today. It’s all a bunch of horse manure as you all know. Humorous horse manure, but manure nonetheless.
 
huh? What did I miss? All I’ve heard about it 21st Dec 2012?
I do indeed also have an appointment for confession tomorrow night, but haven’t heard about this date until now.
 
I was thinking about going. But that’s mainly because I also plan on going to Mass since Saturday is my Church’s annual carnival and I will be there anyway.

yeah apparently a bunch of people seem to think the rapture happens on the 21st and the world ends sometime in October
 
Why are Catholics taking this rapture seriously?Don’t we know what Christ told us about the end?Have we all forgotten or are we just refusing to Believe?Aren’t we aware of the fact that these predictions happen along every 5 or 10 or 15 years?I’m 61yrs old and I know of at least 5 times when the end was prophecied and many people got all concerned.Catholics should know better.

Look at the smiling smiles in Post #1. I don’t think there is a serious post here.

Except for mine…just in case God is watching and we Catholics have gotten it all wrong for 2,000 years…yeah, Rapture party!! 😃

Or today, Thursday. Knock on your priest’s door!!! Don’t forget that the first part of the world enters into Saturday 17 hours before the East Coast. Is there a time zone given on the Rapture date? 😃
 
I will treat that day as any other day I will go ahead with what I had planned originally.which means that I will be working and then coming home and looking at Catholic answers just like I would any other day.

I think it’s 6:00 pm Eastern time. That really bums me out, because I’ll miss the running of the Preakness.
