Felt exactly the same. Just got really bad vibes from the way the guy was depicted on the billboard

If you’re going to watch it, plan on keeping your eyes glued to the screen, or you’ll miss something important in the subtitles.
That is the problem, I only watch when I can knit or crochet (if not I feel I am wasting time). Subtitles don’t work while reading patterns 😦

I know what you mean and you really need the subtitles or you might miss a big part of the plot.

I just finished a good documentary in Spanish about a prosecutor found dead in
Argentina who was investigating a 1994 bombing of a Jewish community
resource center in Buenos Aires and 80 people were killed and many injured.
Iran was supposedly thought involved as well as the president of Argentina.
Some said the prosecutor (who was Jewish) committed suicide and others
said he was murdered. It was on Netflix. So you can’t really do anything else
when you have to keep paying attention to the subtitles. I like to check my
e-mails while watching tv. I envy you knowing how to crochet. I would
love to be able to crochet and watch tv. As you say, you don’t feel like you
waste your time.

@JimR-OCDS

Does it tell a Christian story? Would it confuse anyone
about Christianity or Jesus?

Having seen the first 5 episodes I can firmly say it is not theological. Netflix is not out here teaching some theological truths or anything. It’s a fictional show and good entertainment… end of story.

Not every show with religious undertones on Netflix is some masterful attack on the Catholic Church…

I have to agree. The series is focused much more on socio-political issues that on theological issues. That is not to say that there are no theological issues in the series, only that they are definitely back-burner.
