A. I only care about the number of people killed by Christians for their faith.
B. There is suppose to be world peace when the messiah showed up. He’s come and gone and still no world peace.

Who do you think you’re kidding.
Where will we experience ultimate peace with no struggle? The world throws a lot of things at us but we have peace when we are near our Lord… That’s where we find it and ultimate peace will come when we die sir in the arms of our Lord… Ever heard anyone say may they rest in peace?

Could you show where it was promised in exactly those terms that world peace would obtain at the moment the Messiah showed up?

I will talk about my faith but I won’t stay here to take insults or have my beliefs ridiculed. Find someone else to play that game.
Sorry Karen. I took the time to reply to your 2 page posts with a 3 page post hoping for some intelligent discussions. You totally blew it off and went into telling me how much you love Jesus. Every time I try to engage you into a meaningful discussion you come back with one platitude after another.

You get what you deserve.

Google it…I’m not your pastor. If you have something to say then say it.

I see.

You certainly give “independent” an entirely new connotation - “isolated” abruptly pushes its way to the forefront of possibilities. I am not sure why, however. :hmmm:

Shall we take it, then, that you have no direct quote in mind, merely an impression that such a thing was implied somewhere?

Now it was you that asked me to look at those two chapters of Isaiah which took up those posts…then you ignored what I said and gave your own explanation. I’m not going to deny Jesus because of what you said. I want to be saved. I don’t know what you think you’re going to get by denying Jesus, the OT does not show a way to heaven and if you really knew the OT you’d see that so the way you’re going is earthbound… The way to the Father in heaven is through Jesus Christ His Son…

You can take it any way you want.

I just wasted a whole bunch of time posting pages of chapters and verses trying to debate with someone who couldn’t get past her Catholic platitudes.
I’m not doing it again.

If you have a point you want to make, then make it.

.
Debating still isn’t going to get you saved. Only Jesus Christ the Messiah and Our Savior can save you. God never changes… it’s you who must be transformed by Christ.

OK…WAIT. Maybe we aren’t on the same page. Lets take this step by step.
  1. You went verse by verse adding Jesus into it.
  2. I went verse by verse adding nothing to it. Straight up what Isaiah wrote.
Are we at least in agreement with this?

Isaiah was a prophet. He prophesized the coming of Jesus the Messianic King… Straight up doesn’t cut it.

:whacky:
Ah…yea…ok. That’s not what I asked. But nice platitude.
I’m going to get my hat and coat and slowly exit.
You get plenty of rest now.

I’ve read what you said, and it doesn’t change what is truth. We can’t control God, God is fully in control of what’s happening by Gods providence that’s why we have the Church, the scriptures, people like me who defend the faith. Nothing is done by chance, it’s done because God wills it to be done. I’m sorry if you are bored hearing that Jesus is our Savior, but God is not bored of hearing it.

You could have saved a lot of time and effort if you were up front that you won’t answer any questions where the answer is anything other than Jesus is great.

a little charity is in order here.
Oh I step back and practice being prudent… I know Jesus said that every lost sheep is important to find, but today I grieve over someone and this is too heavy for me to deal with properly… . Peace to all.

A bunch of desperate men needed to piggyback off of the OT and use their prophecies to bamboozle the Jews. At some point the Jews told them to bug off. It got so bad Paul had to go to the world of pagans and peddle his wares.

By the way, still waiting on that promise of world peace that the messiah was suppose to bring with him. 👍
You mean a bunch of fishermen and nobodies managed to do all that and the Jews fell for it? And when Saul/Paul did a 180 degree turn from church persecutor to church promoter and he was tasked to evangelize the Gentiles, what was so bad about that? You mean those days they don’t have division of labor? If you disagree with their faith, at least you must agree they were pretty successful. In 300 years, even the Emperor/empire became Christian. Not bad for a startup. Unfortunately the competition didn’t do so well. In 70 years, many bad things happened as foretold by Jesus. When God is not on your side, and people remain obstinate, blessings are scarce.
