Most non-theists, Atheists or what have you came from either Christian or Jewish homes and were either abused by a member of one, which is heartbreaking, or from Atheist homes but, in any case, their perceptions often come from feelings of their own from the first case and feelings from their parents, who likely left some faith in the second case. In any case “reason” is hidden behind for why they’re not Christian. I think you’re fabricating a sense of reasoning from a desire not to believe to hide some emotions. Let go; and let God show you love people fail to provide anymore, but never could unconditionally, except for only a few in history.

Yes I think of that also. I try to have faith though until I sort it all out. God hasn’t let me down yet. Maybe you should try it.

Welcome Mr. Ad Hom. Yes, he’s correct, messianic prophecy is correct because atheists had rough childhoods. Odd, knowing several atheists myself, almost all have good relationships with the families.

7 years of Catholic education has taught me the value of faith. I prefer lines of reasoning that aren’t equally valid for all faiths (e.g. just have faith and you’ll believe; god loves you so you should believe in him; what if you’re wrong, etc.).

Some do have good relationships, but you don’t leave your faith because you have a logical, albeit false logic (as the Atheist reporters at Fatima discovered not all variables for discerning logic can come from our heads, when something miraculous did happen around the time predicted), argument with it. Usually, going around to forums bursting people’s faith bubbles indicates one is not at peace. That goes for schismatics and sedevacantists, as well. Even if the anger is understandable and faith is involved in the argument for faith, God, Catholicism, it can block good logic if the anger comes before philosophizing and fuels it. I should know, though I’m not a schismatic.
The NT writers could have written that Christ was Elijah, come back from wherever he was taken. If they wanted to write a hagiography, they could have made Christ cool by our ways; not God's. He could have just had a dark night of the soul instead of being ripped to shreds while being heckled and dying like a thief. He could have been written to have fulfilled the prophecy the way the Jews wanted their savior to fulfill prophecy. It's still not easy for us to stand behind, so why should they have wanted a Savior as Christ was if it had not happened?

You posted a good list, but it is limited to those prophecies which are easily discerned in the literal. There are many more hidden away such that nearly every verse of the Old Testament contributes to a prophecy of Christ.

Look at Gen 2:21

21 ¶ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

In Hebrew, many of the words have multiple meanings:
Sleep also means death
Took also means married
Rib also means limping and side
Closed up also means delivered
Flesh also means mankind

Since Adam is a type of Christ when you make all the substitutions you get something like:

And God caused Christ to die and he died, and he married a certain limping side and delivered mankind.

Of course Christ married the church.
His limping side is the same side that had the bruised heel, and Jacob’s shriveled thigh. It represents Christ at Gethsemane where his flesh had to submit to the will of the Father.

This is a hidden prophecy of Christ. It is not free-for-all allegory. Notice how the meaning is firmly tied to the words used, in double entendre.

I am finding them in every verse. Sometimes the picture spans whole chapters, and sometimes they are short and sweet like this.

I am a Catholic, but I understand the hopelessness of the atheist. I see their point of view exactly – but I have faith. Thank God.
