Wow, thanks for all the charitable advice!

My buddy caught him smoking in the apartment once more this afternoon.

I finally put my foot down. I had told him four times not to smoke in the apartment.
My rules are my rules. I have the lease in my name, I pay all the utilities, and do about 80-90% of the cleaning. Time to man up.

I gave him one week to find a new place to live…

He was silent and said he didnt want to talk about it. No discussion, didnt even rebut me or confront. Wow

I hope you and your buddy don’t have to take on another roommate in order to pay the rent. It sounds as though you two are very good friends and get along very well. All the best.
