A university chaplain has become the Methodist Church’s first transgender minister after hiding her true identity for more than four decades.

Joy Everingham, 46, spent years secretly applying lipstick and wearing women’s clothes before finally coming out three years ago.

The article is a few days old, but I thought I’d put it up; after all, we are watching the decay of Christianity in Europe.

The good that will come from this is that more Methodists will become disenchanted with their communion and will seek the One True Church.

So being a woman equals wearing lipstick and makeup and other fashion?
As a woman I feel deeply offended. and I don’t know why nobody jumps to defend us from being presented as “sexual objects” when LGBTQIAA define us in the stuff we wear.

No, this goes beyond that error. These sorts of uber progressive mainline churches tend to dismiss biblical inerrancy. It’s more like Sola Contemporary Values.

👍 What I find so fascinating about the transgender movement is that sex is defined by things like wearing dresses and lipstick. Maybe in some ways it is the response to the equally bizarre notion that there was no differences in the sexes.

The question in my mind, at least for the moment is, did they appoint her because she is transgendered, or did they appoint someone who happens to be transgendered?

These two contradictory ideas would not be so popular if people can just recognize that things, like men and women, can be different and equal at the same time.
