Hello. I am a Methodist and am dating a Catholic and would like to convert. My beliefs have always been leaning towards Catholic beliefs and within the next couple of years, I would like to convert.

How do I go about converting?
Call your local parish. Tell them that you are interested in converting and they will hook you up with whoever is in charge of such things there.
What is the RCIA and how long does it take? What do you do in it?
It takes how ever long you need it to to get all your questions answered and be sure and all of that. Given that, average is usually 9 months or so in most parishes. It often starts in September and ends a few months after Easter. Since you are already a Christian, I will assume baptized and practicing, it could take less time, but that just depends on your local parish.
It usually consists of class once a week where you will learn about the Catholic faith, doctrine and practices and such. There will be a chance to ask any questions you have. It is also a time to grow in your relationship with Christ. You should also have a sponsor who will support you on your journey.
What is a traditional Cahtolic mass like?
Here is a brief intro to what happens at Mass, but the best way to learn is to just go and experience it. Don’t worry about not knowing what you are doing, just go and follow along with what everyone else does and you will quickly get it.
There are also usually some kind of Missal around, either in the pews or at the entrance, and that will have all the prayers and responses and such in it.
