Methodists and CoE merge?

Glory to Jesus Christ!

I’m not sure if this has come up on this forum or not so I’ll bring it. Here is the article from the Telegraph.. What do Methodists think? What do Anglicans think? Any ex-Methodists/Anglicans have an opinion on it?

It does not particularly affect me in any way, but I am curious to hear your reaction. My family remains in the Methodist church, but this appears to only affect British Methodists. Is there anything in the works for Methodists elsewhere to come under the Archbishop of Canterbury?

Just curious, but what makes you say that (I’m not disagreeing with you)? Isn’t the UMC in talks with the ECUSA for eventual communion in 2012? Won’t that be a de-facto union with the CoE?
