It would be great if we could return to the OP’s question regarding Methodists and the Real Presence instead of each discussion becoming another skirmish between Lutherans and Catholics
I once read that John Wesley was consecrated as a bishop by an Orthodox bishop (Erasmus of Arcadia, I believe?). Since Rome considers the Orthodox to have valid apostolic succession, I wonder what that does with Methodist eucharistic validity in the eyes of Catholics?

The Orthodox do have valid Apostolic Succession. But that is only the start of it. While the claim of Wesley’s consecration has been made by some; it has also been denied by and refuted by others. From what I gather, it appears that Wesley himself did not make any such claim. So I think the Methodists would be required to produce the evidentiary proof to support the claim. The Methodists that I know never made such a claim so maybe the bottom line is that we do not really know. But if it did happen then the next question is was it passed down from Wesley to others? Again I don’t know if the evidence exists to prove whether the line was continued down to present time.

Does this not reveal the importance of unity under one bishop? Because a bishop my be validly ordained in the eyes of the Church does not mean that he can then go off and ordain whom he pleases, when he pleases. We then have complete disunity with everyone claiming authority while believing and practicing different faiths. That the Bishop of Rome has supremacy is not only a reality, but a necessity in order to protect the deposit of faith given to the Church.
