Let’s list possibilities, and define them if necessary.

I’ll start with one:

The H1N1 virus. A local radio station to me had a segment where this topic was asked, and many callers believe that the H1N1 was created as a way for big pharma to make big profits.

Seems a rather tame contageon to unleash on the world in order to make money on a vaccine. Methinks, if there were a heinous plot to reap profits from an artificially created pandemic, I’d go with Anthrax.

systematic government sponsored genocide against persons of color through subsidized abortion “services” (like labelling executions of criminals as a “service”)

Urbanization. Long before the pill, before abortion became ‘socially acceptable’, before condoms were handed out in schools and gas stations, urban fertility rates have been far lower than those in rural communities.

Generalities are riddled with exceptions, but history shows pretty clearly that humans have long known where babies come from and have responded by having less when living in conditions less favorable to large families.

The problem we have today in this rapdily urbanizing world is NOT a long term over-population crisis, but a long term population implosion as the urbanization trend continues.

Related to manualman, the easiest way to slow population growth is to morph into a first-world country. In 1900 in the US, there were about 4-6 children/women, depending on race/ethnicity. Now, the birthrate has slowed to about 2 children/woman, with race/ethnicity no longer playing a major factor.

As a country becomes more prosperous, families shrink in size.

I believe that one of the intended consequences of the legalization and normalization of gay marraige is population control. Think about it.
