I give the Synod credit for honestly telling everyone what happened and why…the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Penn State could learn something from that. Actually I think they even reference those scandals in the press release. Trying to cover things like this up just leads to more embarrassment in the long run.

Yes, they mentioned something to that effect in the statement they released. I am just glad that they released a statement, so as to put a damper on the rampant speculation that has been going on.
