Ah! The springtime is in the air! As a guy said on a doc, every period has good stuff and bad stuff. Optimists will only point out the good stuff and pessimists will point out the bad or they’ll emphasize how much it’s one or the other over the other. Let’s face reality. If clergy like these ones and liturgical abusers don’t go the way of the SSPX and women ordainers, as Pope John Paul 2nd rightfully did, though oddly stopping at just those offenses, then we’ll just have more secular humanists hiding behind Christian charity lingo and continuing the legacy of the spirit of Vatican 2, but we’ll think the relatively small number of Catholics at World Youth Days reflect most Catholics, who are contracepting and voting for eugenic liberals. Shepherds run off wolves from their flocks; not throw speeches and encyclicals at them.

I agree. There seems to be more sympathy for the wolves and lazy shepherds than the flock out of, possibly, fear of judging, but the flock that bleats “help us! We’re losing or faith or getting killed!” get judged by the head shepherds and/or their adoring fanbase for somehow judging the unjust.
