Now excuse me as I throw up!!!
I read another of your Posts, the one answering the Thread about how Protestantism is a heresy (etc etc). I feel you were out of line the way you responded to the Poster of that thread.
Being nice to people doesnt always win them to the Church. i ought to know…
However the following information may just scare the H – out of them, literally.
I’ve found at least 39 saints and the children of Fatima who say that very few will be saved. Very few, meaning approximately 5 out of 33,000. In another formun (spirituality, i believe), there is a Thread called “Most People Go to Hell”… There is proof given in the form of writings of various saints… One is a story about an archdeacon who died, then appeared to his bishop to tell him that when he died, 33,000 others died at the same time. Of those, he and St. Bernard went to Heaven, three went to Purgatory and all the others fell into Hell…
I didn’t fully believe it either… until i spent time in the Church… alone with Jesus - and saw my life as He sees it…
Even if one doubts this kind of info… u have to acknowledge that hearing it is going to do more to keep you on your toes with Jesus than this Protestant Once Saved Always saved nonsense…
Which, believe it or not, is NOT found even remotely insinuated in the Scriptures… Just the opposite is there. Don’t believe me, read the NT… the words of Jesus… He speaks more of Hell and not making it than of Heaven…
Maybe that’s why they crucified him… He wasn’t “nice”…

Well, what laws should congress enact regarding people like Teri Shiavo? As recall we were getting opinions from neuroligists who based their diagnoses on eye movement they saw on the evening news. Subsequent autopsy revealed the occular portion of the brain was gone. We heard nothing further from these TV neurologists.

Remember, laws are very specific. We can’t just state a principle as law. So, how should we deal with such conditions? Should an individual patient have the power to have life support removed for himself? Should a power of attorney have such power? Can life support be removed at any time from a living person?

If we all have an immortal soul, what’s the big deal about holding onto life in this plane by such measures?

Umm…Lisa4Catholics hasn’t been on the forum since Nov. of 2006 -this thread is from 2005.

I’m not sure what this thread is about. I read the letter on the link provided in which Mr. Schiavo said he was closing his lobby group and was no longer asking for money. He said further that money could be donated to a group working with persons with eating disorders and another group working with people who care for the terminally ill.
Nearly every respondent seems to be lashing out at the lobby group that he closed. Did no one else read the entire page? He did say that he was no longer soliciting funds. What is the problem?

I think the reaction is to Michael Schiavo himself.

Agreed, with previous posters that he needs our prayers to switch sides.

Look what happened to St. Paul. 😉

How long is that line for the vomit basin. I need it quick!

Michael Shiavo and all the people who directly supported him, especially the judges, should be in jail!

I remember when that incident happened, that was at least one time a lot of congress people and even the president was trying to do a GOOD thing, too bad Terri died
