They are no longer called RealCatholicTV - they are now called ChurchMilitant.TVThat’s all I care to know.
So now that that’s taken care of, what’s your beef?

Then don’t watch him.FWIW, I don’t find him at all inspiring. Quite the opposite; he doesn’t give me a favorable impression of Catholicism.
Nobody’s stopping you, as far as I’m aware…Then don’t watch him.
Others DO find him inspiring and a breath of fresh air. Let the rest of us watch him in peace.

If this were Facebook I’d click “Like!”It would be wise for Michael Voris’s apostolate to realize that any good done by them can be overshaddowed by the uncharitableness of it’s members.
What’s so weird about me? That I don’t like a friend and someone I know personally slandered and pulled through the mud on a public internet forum? If someone did this to someone you were close to, don’t you think you would also lash out? If you wouldn’t then I have to wonder about that.If this were Facebook I’d click “Like!”
I was a Michael Voris agnostic, came to a thread to learn more about him, and was very, very turned off by the comments made by some of his fans.
He seems like an ok guy, but I’m not sure why he attracts such a following with some, frankly, weird attachments.
“I suppose that’s a matter of opinion now isn’t it”. What’s uncharitable to one is charity to another." LizaWhat’s so weird about me? Zab: I’m glad to hear you were once a subscriber. That’s truly unfortunate that you no longer support this apostolate, and if there was ever any uncharitable behavior exhibited towards you, I am sorry to hear that. Without specifics, it’s hard to know what actually happened, and, of course, the staff member might also have a different perspective.“I suppose that’s a matter of opinion now isn’t it”. You can say that again because every time someone charitably expresses a concern about The Vortex, they are jumped on all over by the fans of Michael Voris. I was once a monthly subscriber to Real Catholic TV and even gave an extra $20 a month until I experience such hostile encounter from a staff member. So it was not surprising when I read about the internal problems last year.

You talk about “charitably” expressing a concern about the Vortex, but what I’ve seen instead are people stooping so low as to accuse Michael of being a closet homosexual. That is not “charitable” by any stretch of the imagination, and I hope you do not support that kind of behavior. There is a big difference between complaints about his tone or the content of what he writes, and then attacking and slandering his character.

Zab–So judging by your evasive answer, I presume you DO support stooping to the level of insinuating that Michael is a closet homosexual? Not only was that charge made once, it was repeated later, without remorse–and it was clear as day to anyone who read it. Either you missed the remarks, or you willfully misread them.Christine,
There are people who read these threads who may not be particularly drawn to one side or the other. They just observe the comments from both sides and if they have been following the conversation, they notice comments that are more hostile and perhaps fishing or antagonizing to get negative remarks, and they also notice comments that are misleading at times on what others actually wrote. Judging the condition of one’s soul is not exactly being charitable is it![]()
Wow! Just another prime examle of the attacks against other members. I stand by my remarks. There is nothing more for me to say.Zab–So judging by your evasive answer, I presume you DO support stooping to the level of insinuating that Michael is a closet homosexual? How can anyone possibly take seriously your claims about being “charitable” when you support such reprehensible behavior?
I stand by my comment that it was a sick thing to say, and I commend the slanderer to the mercy of God. That is entirely in keeping with charity.
Christine
How is anything that I wrote even close to an “attack”?Wow! Just another prime examle of the attacks against other members. I stand by my remarks. There is nothing more for me to say.
No slanderous remarks were made of him in this thread, but PLENTY have been made in other threads. Since you really don’t know the whole story, might be better for you to reserve judgment before criticizing those who defend his character.I haven’t seen any slanderous remarks made against Mr. Voris in this thread. All I’ve seen, as an outsider and neutral party to the situation, are uncharitable remarks, assumptions and overreactions from Mr. Voris’ supporters to the least criticism. As others have stated, it certainly doesn’t make me want to watch anything of his, if that’s the sort of support his work attracts.
If the people who said those things were in this thread, then it would be reasonable. It is not reasonable to bring those issues where they were not present to begin with. It is also unreasonable to treat every poster with even the slightest reservations about Mr. Voris as if they were equally guilty of these things. No slanderous remarks were made of him in this thread, but PLENTY have been made in other threads. As an analogy, if people were calling your husband a closet homosexual and accusing him of being vulgar and rude and mean and all sorts of false charges, and you strenuously defended him, how fair would it be for some newcomer who doesn’t have the least idea what’s going on to judge you and tell you that you’re overreacting and making assumptions?

She meant somewhere else here on the forum.I find it interesting that supporters of this man introduce the idea that he was called a homosexual somewhere else, and then accuse posters on CAF, who clearly did not call the man a homosexual, of somehow subscribing to that viewpoint. Real charity at work.![]()
He was called a homosexual in another CAF thread, which ZAB was a part of.
