Open Office and GIMP downloaded. Great stuff! From a quick scan, I love the GIMP software! If I’d known that this was free, and allowed for vector ‘paths’, enabled the use of layers, and allowed the exporting into all file formats, I would have begun using this ages ago! I can’t believe all this time I’ve been bothered about Adobe when this software was available!
Was BSD Unix a hardware programming company? So you think that even these open-source kits will link with the bigger fish? To be honest, it depends to what degree of seriousness these companies carry out their degree, of lack of, ethics…e.g:- not too bad if they give things silly names, it is annoying, but not overly important because if they did possess understanding of the reality of spiritual warfare, then they probably wouldn’t.
But the seriousness kicks in when they start putting their profits where their mouths are! I don’t know about Adobe but they are a monopolising company that I think has negatively affected some of the design industries in one way or another through their concern with big profit margins. Microsoft for obvious reasons (I wonder if they are part of the American Catholic Church which of course is a schism as opposed to the Roman Catholic ). Apple, as was mentioned on here, are involved with gay marriage and such like (need to check this). It is when they take things further.FB and all that is a huge waste of time anyway. I have respect for the fact that you pulled out. When people don’t accept your peace that is within you then eventually we have to move on. It takes guts to leave a group of people behind but I think the group mentality is not beneficial anyway. A certain amount of privacy is needed in order to retain some space for our Creator alone (IMHO) and these social sites are not places for individual discernment. Sometimes it is best to give your witness and move on. Remember, even our Lord, when in danger too early on in His mission, would sometimes make a getaway if things got out of hand.
