    special patron of the sick poor,
    thou who for forty years,
    with truly heroic charity didst devote thyself
    to the relief of their temporal and spiritual necessities,
    be pleased to assist them now even more generously,
    since thou art blessed in heaven
    and they have been committed by Holy Church
    to thy powerful protection.
Obtain for them from Almighty God
the healing of all their maladies,
or at least, the spirit of Christian patience
and resignation that may sanctify them
and comfort them in the hour of their passing to eternity;
at the same time obtain for us the precious grace

St. John of God, Patron of the sick and compassionate, Father of all those who suffer or are in any distress, I confidently turn to you in her time of need. I pray you to intercede for her with Jesus whom you followed so faithfully in His healing apostolate.

Knowing only Jesus can provide the true answer to our call for help and confide in His promise
that if I but ask, it be given to us, I now invoke your intercession in pleading for her.

We lift up our intentions today in support of your daughter Midge who is suffering with various medical problems, illnesses, and is also very lonely. Lord, we ask for your mercy and strength for Midge, that you might grant her healing or at least the ability to regain mobility, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. We also ask for your loving kindness to be expressed to Midge on a daily basis through visitors, the staff where she lives, and through those you send into her life to minister to her. Please grant Midge strong faith, courage, and send compassionate people to spend time with her in these days, dear Lord.

Dear Lord, we also thank you for the kindness and love our friend sidhe54 shows to your people in need, and please keep her strong and confident in her ministry.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

  • Just got off phone with Midge. She hesitated telling me but finally did say that the doctors don’t think she has much time left. She will be seeing a kidney specialist soon to get a better idea of how long she has. She seems at peace, ready to meet Jesus. She thanks you all for your prayers but feels her "body is just giving out. " Please continue to pray for her for a miracle of healing & if it is God’s plan to take her from us soon let it be painfree and with dignity, knowing she was loved by God and family(CAF & extended family/friends).
