Thanks so much y’all! I have decided to wear a tea length, 3/4 sleeve lace dress with heels and since a cold front came through and the low will be in the upper 40s I will be wearing my peacoat. Y’all are really awesome! Thanks again!!🙂

The only time I went to a midnight Mass, I wore a long length long sleeved dress and long wool coat (but I am in Michigan) and that was a few years ago. Most people tend to dress up more for Christmas Masses no matter the time. It is always nice to see males often in a full suit and tie, and more dressy clothes for females as dressing up seems to be a forgotten thing these days as we are so casual in dress most of the time.

Well in my parish it I mixed dress. Some dress very nice, some not so much. I wore a suit. I saw one teenager in some kind of pagan hoodie with skulls and demons.

Hmm. It was -18C on Christmas Eve. I (male) wore nice pants, a nice shirt, a WARM sweater, all under my winter coat which I did take off during Mass. Which is pretty much what I wear at any winter Mass. It gets c-c-c-c-o-l-d up here in Quebec! I did notice that the ladies were more nicely turned out than usual. My wife was dressed pretty much like me… we don’t suffer the cold gladly. I was in awe of the women who would wear skirts and hose in that weather.

FWIW as a male I rarely wear a tie, whether at Mass or elsewhere, usually only if it’s a wedding, a funeral or a job interview. I consider ties an instrument of medieval torture.
