In the UK Does Midnight mass fulfill Christmas obligation even though I think it starts at 11:30 pm and runs until past midnight

Yes. Midnight Mass fulfills Christmas Day obbligation.

The obligation on a holy day of obligation is fulfilled by any Mass on the day (midnight to midnight) or on the evening of the previous day.

You could fulfil your obligation this afternoon/early evening (Mon 24/12/18) by attending the Vigil Mass of the Nativity.

The Midnight Mass, often not celebrated at midnight, indeed, 11.30 p.m. seems a very common time for its celebration here in the UK, most definitely fulfils the obligation.

Obviously the Dawn Mass or any Day Mass tomorrow (Tue 25/12/18) fulfils the obligation, too.

Please do not post what is essentially the same question in multiple threads.

Yes.

The Masses of Christmas Eve fulfill the obligation, so, a 5 PM “Children’s Mass” or an 11:30 PM Mass at night and anything in between counts.

Our parish has true Midnight Mass <3
