I thought this may be of interest here. A recent decision by the Catholic bishops of Minnesota to send a DVD opposing same sex marriage to all Minnesota Catholics has stirred quite a tempest here in this political season. It has a lot of people calling for the Catholic Church to lose its tax-exempt status for meddling in politics.

Recently, the Minneapolis Star Tribune Editorial Board (which is consistently liberal) came out with an editorial defending the Church. Well, the Church’s right to advocate without losing tax-exempt status, that is. I have to admit, I was quite pleasantly surprised to see this!
