“I couldn’t help but notice your Christmas light display. During these unprecedented times, we have all experienced challenges which casual words just don’t describe what we’re feeling. The idea of twinkling, colorful lights are a reminder of divisions that continue to run through our society, a reminder of systemic biases against our neighbors who don’t celebrate Christmas or who can’t afford to put up lights of their own,” the letter, shared by Crime Watch Minneapolis, reads. “We must do the work of educating ourselves about the harmful impact an outward facing display like yours can have.”
Four(4) neighbors received the letter. Christmas always brings out these kinds of things.

The Santa who would not give the child the nerf gun for Christmas. , I read that the mall later sent a Santa out with a gift to the boy’s home.

I do wonder if letters will go out to the Jewish families with lighted menorahs (Happy Hanukkah BTW), or the Black families who put out fruits and veggies in the window and hang the Kwanzaa flag, or the people who go out and decorate “Solstice trees’ or the people who decorate for Tet with peach and kumquat trees, or the people who yell “Happy Festivus” around the Festivus pole. . . I mean, how offensive of them to DARE to celebrate a holiday. The nerve.

I think we can predict with a high degree of confidence that the answer to your wondering is, “no.” 🙃
