Hello Miracle. You are welcome, and prayer is the least that I can do for a friend in Christ. NiceMiMi, 1inICXC and everyone on here, thank you for your prayers! It really does help to know there are such kind souls out there praying for me. Things are not really any different. I was referred to an attorney by my Priest. The attorney was very nice, but was honest, that there is not much I can do to protect my kids from my husband if we are divorced. So, for now, I am just still here and praying for a miracle!

You’re welcome! I am glad to see that you are still looking for ways to exit this terrible situation. I trust in God that sooner or later, there will be an opening for you to be able to leave with your children in a positive way.

This is so awful.
 
The attorney that I met with knows my husband a little (we live in a small town, it is hard not to know someone!) One thing he and I talked about was, if I could relocate far (as in not driving distance) that my children would not be subject to the normal ever-other-weekend exchange. That I would have to work out some type of holiday visitation, and they would visit him in the summer. Apparently, the normal summer visitation is 6 weeks, but since my husband travels for work, it would not be that long, because he can not be home/away from meetings for that long. So, it would likely be shorter than that. Also, since he does know my husband, he admitted that he thought that the more difficult it was for my husband to see the kids… well, it would simply make him “lose interest” over time. So, a way out for us might be if I could find a job in another location and move. It would have to be (1) far enough away that is was not weekend-drivable, (2) pay a good bit, so that I would be able to financially support 2 children and myself, and (3) have some flexibility, so that I can be a single mom of 2 children under age four.
I do have an MBA, so I have the education to attain a job. However, my resume is not exactly filled with Fortune 100 experience, I have mostly lived in rural settings. In this economy, a random company will probably not pick my resume out of the pile and move me to work for them. It is very unlikely. However, if anyone out there has some connections that you might could help me find a good job, please PM me! Thank you! 😛

Hi Miracle, I am glad to hear that all is moving in the right direction. I don’t know of any leads other than a book series called “Knock 'Em Dead” My two cents: get all three books. Read them cover-to-cover. Take LOTS of notes, and make it your job hunting Bible. Be prepared to send out over 300 resumes. I say this because of our current economy. I know someone who landed a job after sending out over 1,500 resumes. So, with this in mind, know that you may be in for a challenge. Your lawyer sounds like a gem. Please let us know how it goes. Thank you NiceMIMI and everyone for the prayers! My children and I really can not live this way anymore. I am on here one last time to beg for help! I have tried all the avenues like the domestic abuse hotline and other charity organizations. They are nice/sympathetic, but are unable to help because (1) my current salary is above poverty level, and/or (2) we are not being physically abused. I have had no luck on job searches in other locations. I need help! Someone with connections to business/marketing jobs, or even just someone who is wealthy enough to help us get out, relocate, and survive until I can find a job to support us! Please know that I hate asking for such charity, but I really have no other way out. This marriage has separated me from all friendships I once had, and I have no family that can help. I am begging, if anyone out there has resources to help me, and is willing to do so, please do! I promise I am a good person, I do a lot of community work now, and always have! I just need a hand to get out of this situation…
