Are these taking place around the world or just in Portugal?

they are been taking place around the world for many years - 300,000 people viewed it in Philippines March 5, 1993 and 100,000 in Puerto Rico April 23, 1991 - and many other places - it seems to me God is trying to get our attention and pay attention to what He is telling us through His messengers !!!
 
Amazing! I used to be sceptical about “miracle sun” reports. During a discussion about one such event I said to another person, “there’s got to be a scientific explanation”.
But I know now that there isn’t, and am now certain without any hesitation that those unfathomable signs occur!

The question though is from what source? For that reason some things of mystery that we may know about, just have to be kept to ourselves.

to me the question is “what does your faith tell you?” - if your faith tells you they are from God then one would ask the question - “What is He telling us?” It seems to me that people would want to find out - it’s much too important to disregard - even for those who are not sure they need to pray and educate themselves.

Are people already gathered for an event when these miracles of the sun happen or do they take place over several days so that many people can gather to watch?

for so many people to be gathered it seems they must be announced beforehand by the person receiving messages - at the Holy Love site in Ohio the person receiving the messages from heaven has posted that the Next Promised Apparition: June 14, 2015 3pm - the Miracle of the Sun has been seen here and I know someone who saw it - she was overcome with love.

It isn’t necessarily a question of the people who witness the stated event disregarding it, its many of those that they relate the experience to who will be inclined to disregard it, especially when some of the people who have the experience are not particularly holy, and in some cases not even religious.
Put it this way, everything has to be examined and scrutinised with thorough research before it can be accepted by the church, it just has to be that way.

so in reality if we wait until our Church has something to say it could be 50 or 1000 years - if they are from heaven than God is using them to draw our attention to what He is telling the messenger - if people what to take the attitude that it has no value until our Church has something to say about it then so be it - if some people want to say it comes from satan and God is allowing it for some unknown reason then so be it - remember it was first witness in what is now an approved apparition - Fatima

I understand your concern.
Its just that from reported supernatural messages complications always seem to arise.
The church therefore has to be cautious.

I went to Medjugorje many years ago, I agreed to go somewhat reluctantly being of sceptical nature, yet curious about what I had heard.
I still have some misgivings about the reported messages, but I know for certain that the “miracle of the sun” occurred when I was there!

If I recall correctly holy love in Ohio was rejected by the local bishop as NOT being supernatural. Medjugorje is still under investigation and as of now the 1991 bishops statement still stands. People can go there on pilgrimages and such but not under the assumption that Mary is giving messages or performing miracles.

the miracle of the sun has been seen there many times and I have a friend who witnessed it - let’s not make the terrible mistake of believing our leaders are infallible - history has show us that, being human, they have made many mistakes. I believe our Church wants nothing to do with Holy Love because the messages speak of abuse of power and self interest by our religious and secular leaders - most uncomfortable for them - wouldn’t you say?

I believe anyone who looked at the reality of what the bishop did, his ruling on Holy Love, would be totally disgusted. He buried it as quickly as he could without any explanation - not backing up what he said was theologically wrong with the messages - but citing an undisclosed theologian as saying they were false. A quality of a good and honest leader, such as a bishop,would be being glad to explain to us what is wrong with the messages so we can understand the reasoning he used in ruling against it. Doing that would be a sign of a honest and fair look at Holy Love. There are 2 other bishops who judge Holy Love to be authentic.

But one must remember that manifestations in the sun were also seen at Bayside and Necedah.Would you venture to say that these apparitions are legitimate in defiance of the local bishop?

As St John Paul 2 said without the hierarchy and obedience to bishops even the Eucharist cannot unite the church. In Akita Japan, Mary stressed to the seer obedience to her bishop

.Holy Love is not even Catholic it is an ecumenical offshoot pretending to be.It has NEVER been endorsed by the diocese as far as I know.

Holy Love doesn’t pretend to be anything other than what it is. I don’t have any simple answers to all this - no one does - all I am saying is it doesn’t make any sense to just disregard what hundreds of thousands of people have witnessed by “hiding behind” what one human bishop has ruled (while 2 others believe they are authentic- in the case of holy love) - let’s face it most people don’t want to be bothered with all this - their favorite TV program is on. The day will come, soon I believe, that the blind obedience we have to our Church will have severe effects - leading many to their perdition.In other words with the schism already formed (it’s just a matter of the formal voting in october) there will be many who will follow false teachings - you can’t be for and against something or be neutral - example - communion for the civilly divorced who are remarried or living with another. - and of course the same sex marriage issue.

Don’t worry.Jesus promised us the gates of hell would not prevail. If an apparition is true it will eventually be accepted.Just look how long St Faustina was silenced as well as St Pio and the seer at Our Lady of Good Help.They all have one thing in common: obedience to their superiors. The devil has no power over those who are obedient.
