Miracle Prayer Strange Offering

I saw this prayer in the prayer intentions forum, but that forum is not for discussion and because I had a question I thought it most appropriate to post it here.

Miracle Prayer

Heavenly father you have given us Archangels to assist us during our pilgrimage on earth. St. Michael is our protector, I ask him to come to my aid, fight for all my loves ones and protect us from danger, St. Gabriel is the messenger of good news. I ask him to help me clearly hear your voice and to teach me the truth. St. Raphael is the healing Angel, I ask him to take the need for healing of theat every one I know, lift it up to your throne of grace and deliver back to us the gift of recovery. Help us, O lord to realize more fully the reality of the Archangels and their desire to serve us. Holy Angels pray for us.

Place three white candles on a white plate with some sugar. Place a glass of water next to it. Say the above prayer for three days and publish it. See what happens ont he fourth day.

So my question is whats with the candles, the white plate, the sugar and water?

It kind of sounds like an offering or something, so what is the purpose of the candles ect?

Um yeah. That sounds like voodoo.

Sounds like someone took a beautiful prayer and added their own bit of “magic” to it! I sometimes get emails like this even from Catholic friends saying "Pass it on and within X days you will get ??. Very juvenile and I just delete these. Knock off the last part and keep the beautiful prayer.

The prayer sounds good, but to have to do something specifically, and then publish the answer is wrong.
