Would you care to share a short story of a miracle or spiritual experience that you have had in your life? Just because. 😁

At least some basic info, no need for huge stories, although if you want you can.

I have two.
  1. I was and still am struggling with a mental illness. I asked for St. Dymphna’s intercession. I have really severe anxiety and I was having an issue with one of my teachers. We ended up talking it out and I gained a friend. That conversation ended in a hug. I have also been feeling a lot better.
  2. Before I decided to become Catholic, I had the chance to crown Our Lady at the May Crowning. It was a really powerful experience. The statue of her looked so real. I placed the crown on her head, and said for the first time ever: ā€œI love you Mama and thank you.ā€ At that moment, I accepted Mary as my mother and I knew how much she loved me, and decided to become Catholic.

I’ve apparently died before (I was a baby), but I don’t remember it. I am 32.

I prayed for my brother Jamie who had lung cancer. I also started a thread [here in CAF] and asked people to pray for him. He went in for treatment and the tumor had shrunk in size considerably. A little while later, after everyone had prayed for him, the tumor was completely gone. The doctors had no explanation. I believe that the Lord healed him! šŸ˜€

Sometimes what the devil will do is that he’ll try to get you to avoid saying prayers for something that denies the laws of physics. I’m not intimidated to pray though, even for something that is scientifically unproven. None of us should be intimidated by the circumstances.

This is small but the first one that came to mind.
Our family had a power outage at home. We were without power for about 6 hours. We were all in the living room and decided to say a prayer. We prayed the Our Father. Not 10 seconds later the power kicked on. šŸ™‚ The children liked that.

Today is the 9 year anniversary of my wife and I having our marriage convalidated. Prior to that the Priest who was going to bless our marriage had sent us on a retreat together to discuss what we wanted out of our marriage. We took a trip to this quiet little town to get away from all the noise of where we lived. It was there we discussed what we both wanted, and that was to make our marriage a covenant with God. So that became the theme and most important aspect of our convalidation to us.

So on the last possible day that we could be married in the Church, due to Holy Week, we had our Church wedding. As this was occurring there was a very intense storm outside. The thunder and lightning were intense as the heavy rain beat down upon the old roof of the Church. Pretty awesome. Then after the ceremony the Priest headed out the rear door to go to the rectory. All of a sudden, as family was taking pictures afterwards, he came back in and said to my wife and I, ā€œY’all need to come with me, your not going to believe this!ā€

When we followed him out the back door we couldn’t believe our eyes!!! Right there behind the Church was a beautiful double rainbow! The sign of a new covenant with God! What a stamp of approval!

So to my beautiful, loving wife, Happy Anniversary Baby!!! I loves you and we can weather any storms in life because our covenant is an everlasting covenant with God, and the rainbows will always await us! CSRS|690x460

My mum went into a coma and was rushed to hospital, her breathing was a horrible gurgling sound, nicknamed the death rattle. The doctors said she had days to live and there was nothing they could do for her. We called a priest, although none of us had a faith at the time, we just thought it was what you should do as mum was bought up a Catholic.
As the priest prayed my mum’s gasping for air seemed to change, she seemed to relax and started to breathe more normally. About ten minutes after the priest walked out the door, mum came round and started to speak, she had no recollection of anything that happened in hospital, or that the priest had prayed for her. We thought it might have just been a temporary reprieve, but she lived another eleven years.

A few year after I had tests done for cancer, about a month later the doctor phoned and said he urgently wanted to see me, it was non – Hodgkin Lymphoma. This was a name I recognised, our friend had this cancer, and died a few months later. I prayed for the wisdom, strength and peace to do God’s will, whether the cancer was a death sentence, or just an inconvenience. I can only say that from the moment of making this prayer, I have experienced a profound sense of peace, and the thought of cancer has never troubled me for a moment.
I know faithful people die from cancer, so I have never prayed for healing, as it might have been my time to go.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. This just shows how our God is a merciful and loving God. Glory to Jesus! Honor to Mary!

I look forward to others’ experiences.
