Miracles of the Saints?

I was recently reading about St Blaise’s miracle attributed to him about the chocking child. It made me wonder how we know this to be true.

What documentation is publicly available to support these claims of miracles attributed to Saints, or any post Christ miracle for that matter. I trust the churches authority and all but I just want to be able to read letters and/or testimonies on demand for the purpose of apologetics. I want to read what the church used to make that determination or if it’s purely based on tradition.

Very good point. Firstly, we are taught that we are under no requirement of the Church to believe in any personal revelation attributed to the Saints. This is true of even those “approved” by the Church such as Fatima Lourdes or any of the Marian appearances and the concomitant miracles. The nearest to a comprehensive scientific and medical scrutiny is the International Commission at Lourdes.
It is hard not to be fairly cynical about many of the miracles attributed through tradition for the edification of the faithful, such as St. Christopher.
However, when you look at the Eucharistic miracles occurring throughout the world, the miracles documented at Lourdes, and such historically documented events such as the dancing of the sun at Fatima; even the well documented life of the Cure d’Ares, it is difficult to be a complete skeptic, and still accept the historicity of say, Galileo so many centuries before.
We all rely on the declaration of truth from others in determining everyday truths such as the world being round. The greater the number of eyewitnesses of good repute and the length of time since the event both determine our judgement of history.
Best to do your own research of today’s supposed miracles in lookinf for the reason within your faith.God Bless

Everyone is in a different place spiritually.

Because of this some will be uplifted in hearing about miracles, and others will cringe and doubt.

The way I see it, we can be excessive on each side.

A healthy, peaceful concern about embellishment and/or truthfulness about miracles sounds good.

A scoffing, disbelieving attitude of the miracle may cause us to bypass the real point of it.

You might google Mystics of the Church. I don’t know how orthodox it is but it is a good read.
