Have any of you guys expierienced or seen anything miraculous? God is at work every day and He surely performs many miracles throughout the world in this modern era. I’m sure we all have had miracles happen to us that we take for granted or don’t even realize. At the same time though I bet many of us have had some miraculous things happen that we remember vividly to this day.

Anyone want to share their expieriences?

While it might be nice to share, I fear some miracles might fall under private revelation which is not allowed here. Maybe you can PM our wonderful moderator and ask if its alright to share. If so I would love to share the beautiful story of the moment of my grandmother’s peaceful and holy, death.

Hi I guess it depends on what is a mirical and what is God’s provision!

Life itself is a mirical and I can tell you that. When I had an accident at 11 years of age and died on the bed and yet as Doctors said it would be better if I died, many people prayed for life under the questioning by Doctors of that kind of prayer. One would definitly have been looking for a mirical. Yes it was some 4 weeks later when out of death abd then a comer that my parents were given the mirical, and my life was given back to me, because of their unrelenting prayer and that it was God’s will in the first place.
But latter by 1year contracting meningitus through a crack in the scull once again the prayers were heard by God and I lived, then 1 year later an operation to cover the large crack in my scull that the Doctors said was the first operation of it’s kind in the world, they thought.
Once again prayer came through.
Yes I believe in miricals I believe it would come under the heading of Our Father in Heaven showing many people here in New Zealand any way that His "Mercy " is great for His children who He loves.

I didn’t receive a PM. I’d like to welcome you to the Catholic Answers Forums and the Spirituality board! I’m the moderator of this and the Prayer Intentions board. Please feel free to contact me with questions covering either of these topics.

Responding to this thread, and my moderating it, will require walking a very fine line. There is quite a difference between someone saying, “My husband was clinically dead and the doctors said he had zero chance of recovery, and here he is out golfing right now,” as opposed to someone saying, “God told me to go to this place where I saw the Virgin Mary and she gave me this message to pass on to others.” As long as the responses stay in the realm of the first example, they will be fine.

Things that are not acceptable include:

  1. *]Anything to do with unapproved or disproved private revelations such as Medjugorje or Conyers, GA.
*]Messages from God that He asked you to pass on to others or that you feel compelled to pass on to others.
*]Anything that could be construed as proselytizing.
As long as you stay away from those areas, you should be fine in responding. Any with questions may write me directly through the PM system.

    May God Bless You Abundantly,
    Catherine Grant

Thank you Catherin your information is most welcome I will do my best to keep in line.
Once again thanks

First time I’ve typed this story. Don’t think my mom would mind, since, well, this is the Internet and we’ve currently yet to be introduced. The most powerful story I have to share. Tearing up typing this.

It was about 10 days before I was born (I’m 35 now), and my parents were driving down a country road. Signs were not properly placed (probably an easy lawsuit these days), and they went into a ditch in the road under construction. My Mom went through the windshield (seat belt laws were different then as well) and my Dad into the steering wheel, unconscious. My Dad regained consciousness and walked a half-mile to a farm and called 911.

Later, my mom, was pulled from the wreckage, with me, still there in her womb, and was taken to the hospital. 440 plus stitches and around 10 bones broken, they reset her leg in the hospital. My Dad told me later that was the worst scream he ever heard as they drove the spike through her knee to reset it. He was down the hall, and medicine in 1970 wasn’t what it is today.

As she was bleeding to death in the car, and me dying as well I guess, she said she saw a White light, getting brighter and brighter, and as she sensed the Light approach she said “Your Will be done”. Immediately after that, the Light withdraws and her next memory is that she’s being pulled from the wreckage and then had no memories until later.

After that, she offered me to God, and always thought I’d become a priest. I didn’t, married with three kids, and unfortunately a regular sinner. I’m certain there’s a plan, but anyway, that’s the closest thing I personally know to a miracle. I have one other story, but it doesn’t affect me the same way…

In time of death “Your Will be Done” is, to me, complete surrender to His Will. Every prayer, every request, should be completed with that. IMHO.

God Bless.

My conversion was miraculous.

While I will not go into the details, it was a supernatural experience which demonstrated to this former atheist not only the existance of God but caused me me to specifically seek out the Catholic Church.

My experiece was not a revelation by any means. It was more like God slapping the back of my head and saying “Are you blind!? Look around! Get with the program!” After spending nearly twenty-five years as an avowed “foxhole atheist”, I was suddenly converted. (Literally one minute I was atheist, the next I knew I had to be Catholic) I was confimed in 2005 after 17 months in the RCIA my parish (that is normal period for RCIA formation at our parish.)

The tearing down of the Berlin Wall and the the Iron Curtain, thanks to a big role from JPII! 👍

That was incredible-- happened almost overnite. And no one was predicting it.

Miracles in my life…

According to my mother, doctors advised her she would never be able to carry me to term. To her, my birth is a miracle because though she was sick “from the moment you were conceived until the moment you were born,” she had a pregnancy that was complication free. I was born completely healthy except…

When I was born, I was blind (i.e. my eyes did not respond to light at all). When I was a few weeks old, the congregation of my family church prayed over me, and during the service, my eyes started responding to light for the first time.

As a young child, I developed severe allergies that required multiple-times-weekly injections. The same congregation who prayed over me as a baby prayed over me as a child, and within the following month I was able to stop my injections. I did not suffer allergies again at all until seasonal allergies (controlled by medication) developed in my late teens.

As a young adult, I was diagnosed with lupus and a tumor in my thyroid gland. The tumor was removed surgically, but we had to continue treatment for lupus for two years. It had never occurred to me to place the illness in God’s hands, but at one point, I seemed to be getting worse, and my treatments didn’t seem to be as effective. I prayed to God for him to lead us in the right direction, and my next lupus test was negative (and they have been negative since). My doctors had/have no explanation.

A couple of years ago, my sister had 3 operations within a couple of days to try to stop bleeding in her brain. The last operation, the surgeon said, if this one was unsuccessful she would likely die within a few hours, and it was possible because of the location of the bleeding she could die during the operation. He said it was 50-50 and very likey she could be blind or paralyzed since the bleeding was very close to the brain stem and major damage was very possible.

We were all preparing for the worse but I still tried to pray as if God had already granted us a miracle. My sister survived the operation, she lost sight in one eye and her memory was very poor for months, but she is about 95% recovered now, only slight memory loss. I consider it a miracle. It is not spectacular but it was certainly the answer to our prayers.

What made you change your mind ??? I’m very interested because my son has become an avowed atheist.

Everytime at least once a week at the Mass and see the transubstantiation of the Host from bread and wine to the Body of Jesus our Saviour.

One of the most amazing miricals in my life would be the providence of timber to me after a prayer.
Now I was only a truck driver at the board mills.
Our priest asked me to carve an alter for the church. I had no timber so I said we should pray.
The very next day the superintendant came from the bush gangs asked me if I still carved? (Just think of the amount of time and mony spent here). He offered me an 80 foot log girth of 12 feet and said the team in the bush cut it into 3 sections, dragged each down by their log loader, lifted the three pieces onto the logging truck brought them 98 miles to the sawmill.
There the sawmill had been closed down for the day.cleaned of pine flitches from the breakdown saw and the two benchsaws and the chipper.

I was to supervise the measurments of the cutting and the docking after the loggs had been debarked. The whole opperation took one and a half days to complete and employed over 30 employers from the sawyers to the dockers to the green chain workers to the tow moter to my driving the truck…
Just imagin the cost per person by the management. I then loaded the three packets of timber onto the truck I was driving and took them home.and was then paid to deliver it to my house.

It is a bit of a story and I cannot really explain in well in a short space.

It all started when a young woman died in my arms. Less than two weeks later, I mett her family. Afterwards, I retured to my hotel room. Then another woman, who was not there, and who was surrounded by light, for which there was no source, spoke to me. Then I relived the preceeding two weeks of my life in every detail in real time. It took two weeks to relive those two weeks, yet it only took a moment. I was an observer in my own head during those two weeks/few moments. My memory was intact and I aware of everything but unable to influence anything. During this time I became accutely aware of my sins. “Sin” was a an alien concept to me at the time, but not for long. This knowledge made me viscerally aware of God’s judgement, justice and mercy. The experience ended with the woman speaking to me from the light again, right where it started. (A few other things happened as well that I will not go into.)

At that moment, I knew I had been wrong my entire adult life. There is a God and He was trying to get my attention. He succeeded. Because of the way the events unfolded, it was clear that God was leading me to the Catholic Church.

There is much more to this tragic but wonderful story. I have written it down in book form and am in the final stages of getting it published. The current working title is “Enemy of Daylight”. It should be availble in a few months.

God made a wonderful miracle happen to me. I had just got off work one morning(I had worked the midnight shift) and I was getting ready to go to bed. I went and laid down but I was kind of restless you could say, I mean I wasnt falling asleep very fast. The just out of the blue I sat straight up in bed and I had the most tremendous feeling of guilt I had ever had I mean I felt guilty about everything I had ever done in my life. I truly believe it was the Holy Spirit touching my heart and saying ok its time you start living for God and not yourself. And from that day forward I have tried to live my life to the best that God and Jesus would want me to and I center my life around them and I pray to Mary everynight and I was led home to the Catholic Church on June 5th and recieved by Jesus on August 10th 2006. God has certainly blessed me and I give him all thanks for everything he does and to his son Jesus Christ who suffered and died for me (thats a miracle in itself) so that I may be worthy of entering the Kingdom of Heaven. God bless all.

I have heard and have seen miracles. I was on a retreat one time and got talking to another young adult. He looked real healthy. He told me that he used to be paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. A priest, some friends and family prayed over him one night, and he was healed. I know another woman who had a lump on her breast. Our prayer group prayed over her, and she was healed. I worked with another guy, who told me that he died from a heart attack when he was vacationing in Ireland. He died, saw the light, and came back several minutes later. I saw my wife get healed of several health issues. A Catholic woman in Maine Lorraine of Jesus (lifesongljl.org) prayed over my wife’s leg. One was shorter than the other due to numerous breaks. Her leg grew several inches instantaneously. The nun there said that she has seen limbs grow many times. Those are the times that come to mind. There are others.

My mom’s general practioner retired and a new young doctor replaced him. Because of my mom’s history of breast cancer the young doctor wanted to run multiple tests on my then 68 year old mother to familiarize herself with my mom.

The blood test revealed “something” and further tests revealed cancer the size of a pea on her pancreas.

A surgeon performed a 14 hour whipple procedure on my mom within two weeks of this discovery and told us that she was going to be fine, and that she is very “lucky”. He said there are no symptons for pancreatic cancer and usually by the time you learn you have it (yellow-skin), it is too late to do anything but prepare for death.

After a few months of follow up appointments with the surgeon, my mother called her doctors office to schedule a checkup with the new general practitioner. The office told her that the new doctor no longer worked at this family medicine office. My pressed them for answers and they told her that they didn’t know where the doctor went. She just “dissappeared on them”.

My mom turns 71 this Monday and is doing just fine, all things considered!
