If we as Christians believe in the miracles of the Bible, then why do we not (the majority of us) not believe in the miracles of the Mormon Church and/or of Islam/Koran too?

How can we only believe in the Miracles in the Bible, and not these others?

Because the Church basically did not declare the Quran or the Books of Mormos as inspired by the Holy Spirit.

And how we can trust that the miracles in the Bible are true, and did happen?

Simply because we accept the miracles that are described in the Bible does not mean we should therefore uncritically accept any and all claims of the miraculous from every source. Miracles are possible, but that does not mean that every purported miracle actually happened.

It’s probably beyond the scope of this thread to give you a thorough explanation as to why the Bible is more reliable than other religious texts, but there are books out there that address these issues. Lee Strobel’s “Case for Christ” springs to mind. He’s a non-Catholic Christian, but he does a good job of laying out the reasons as to why the Bible can be trusted.

I think a better question would be “How can we trust the Bible?” or “How do we know the Bible is true?”.

Miracles still happen today; you will often find them in the history of Catholic Church 👍 and its canonized saints.

Trust is a gift from God. There is no way one can trust unless the Father gives him that power to trust. Those whom the Father gifted with it, many of them choose martyrdom instead of renunciation of their trust. This of course refers to faith in God and not simply to “trust in things or events”. We trust persons, not things or events.

You do not necessarily have to deny other miracles. Take each one on a case by case basis. Filter it through prayer and study, if you feel questioned by it. Could God have a purpose for it? You need not fear being intellecutally honest. Mysterious are the ways of God. You need not be able to explain away all of them to accept some of them.

Also, demons can perform supernatural acts as well, if you are inclined to believe it. See books by papal exorcists, if you doubt it.

A belief in the supernatural, in my mind as well as supported by the Bible (David or Solomon one went to a soothsayer), means there is a lot happening in that realm that we are not always aware of.

Some is for good, some is for bad. I certainly do not want to be the sole arbiter, but I certainly have my opinions.
