A few questions about miracles:
  1. Is there a compindium of official Church-recognized miracles that have occurred since the New Testament times?
  2. What criteria does the Church use to evaluate and validate a current-day miracle, and how does the miracle get brought to the attention of the Church?
  3. What is/are the most compelling modern-day miracles you are aware of?

The Miracle of Fatima, Portugal and Lourdes, France are two of the most well known. And in Fatima there were present many athiests and non-believers who intent it was to write newspaper releases debunking the fore announced miracle, but who in their writings, which are still available today, profess to witnessing the miracle.

Idk but what i do know is that theres too many miracles occurred in our holy church, im always amazed

I pose to my Faith Formation class the question,…….why do all these miracles occur within this one Church? We are going through some of them now. Is my Lord trying to tell me something? 🙂

  1. No

There is no official compendium, but we can refer to the following sources:

-if someone was beatified or canonized on evidence of a miracle, then that is officially recognized.

-also, if we celebrate a miracle in the liturgy, then it is recognized as well (eg. the Marian appartitions, certain Eucharistic miracles).

-anyone think of more?

The actual # of miracles is way to numerous, happening all the time, and the Church does not attempt to keep a list or anything :-).
