miraculous medal consecration

I was wondering if the act of consecration to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal requires a priest and if a catechumen (myself) can do it.

Also, the medal I received (from, America Needs Fatima) was already blessed to me, if that matters at all to the act.

I am part of their weekly Monday novena which is shown online at 9am and 12pm eastern.

To my knowledge there is only one thing you can not do as a catechuman and that is receive the Eucharist.
You can pray, be part of novenas, bless yourself with holy water (although, since you are not baptized not sure if has the same effect), etc etc
