Miranda Sings is a satirical channel/series of videos. She sings badly on purpose as a parody of other people on Youtube who put up videos of themselves singing who are told that their voices are beautiful even if they really aren’t very skilled. She’s both playing a character and drawing attention to the fact that even if a person isn’t a very good singer, they can be a good performer and still develop a fanbase, especially on Youtube.
Her videos aren’t meant to be taken seriously, although many people do. It’s satire and parody. If you actually listen to the way she sings, it’s obvious that she has classical vocal training and is more than likely a very good singer if she’s singing as herself and not Miranda.
