**“The use of the third edition of the Roman Missal enters into use in the dioceses of the United States of America as of the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011. From that date forward, no other edition of the Roman Missal may be used in the dioceses of the United States of America.” **

When they say no other edition of the Roman Missal can be used, is that only referring to the Ordinary? They’ll still be able to use the EF Missal? just checking…

They are referring to the ordinary form in English. Also there is the Spanish language version which is not finished yet.

The extrordinary form is under rules given in Summorum Pontificum (2007), effective September 14, 2007. Private EF Mass may be offered with faithful attending that want to attend. If a continuous presence of faithful in a parish that will assist at the extraordinary form, it may be publicly offered, on the approval of the pastor. There can also be a personal parish established by the bishop, for the extraordinary form, exclusively.
