Where can I order a good Missal of 1962 online? I’d like one that has maybe an introduction to the Tridentine Mass, holidays, prayers, etc. Just a good selection of different Missals that I can choose from. Are there any on Amazon? I did a search, but couldn’t really find any. I went to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception yesterday, and it was AMAZING. I’ve always loved the Blessed Mother, and the shrines to her around the Basilica, and the Crypt chapels were just awe inspiring. But anyway, I went to the bookstore there(most likely the closest Catholic bookstore to me in DC. If anyone else knows of another one, please let me know), and they didn’t have it, just the new Missals. Any help is appreciated.

Currently, there are no new 1962 Missals available for purchase. However, like I posted on another recent thread, both Angelus Press (angeluspress.org) and Baronius Press (baroniuspress.com) will be publishing very nice 1962 Missals very soon. The Angelus Missal is a new edition; the Baronius Missal is a reprint.

Considering this, I think it would be a bit foolish to purchase a reprinted Missal from before 1962 right now.

God Bless,
Scott

It will probably cost you, as relatively few original copies of the 1962 edition could have survived for the 40 plus years since publication.

The 1962 missal became obsolete in most places by Septaguasima Sunday 1965 (you know, in February, the week or so before Ash Wednesday).

OK, there have been two missals mentioned that I have never heard of. I was confirmed in 1963 and received (what was called then) my big St. Joseph missal. That’s the only one I ever saw in use. P. S. Mine is in excellent condition as is my mother’s which is older. Any thoughts?
